This took me a roughly a good four hours. I'm happy with it though, for now. I fail at writing stories for my art but I'll write up the general concept here:
SO. Mufasa and Taka (Scar) wandered too far from Pride Rock and got themselves lost. ohnoes. D: Now the sun's setting and they've taken shelter ontop of a small cliff (safest place in the world I'm sure >_> but it made for a pretty picture!) Mufasa's trying to keep himself awake to watch for danger (yknow 'cause he could totally pwn anything that comes across them XD) Just as his eyes start to force themselves shut he feels his little brother grab onto his paw and hold tight (like a small child with a blanket) Taka has done this subconsciously, since he's clearly fast asleep at this point. In my little fandom mind this is the first time something like this has happened since they were infants (or at least since Taka was younger/before he was old enough to know jealousy) so it's somewhat of a surprise to Mufasa.

I could NOT get this adorable little scene out of my head so it had to happen. Sorry. I like sap. It's delicious. This also started with just the two cubs ontop of the cliff, then I stuck in a tree...and then an entire friggin landscape 'cause I felt inspired. Why the random giraffe? Well, why NOT?
