Full name: Kufa Krin Atli
Daughter to Jangwa and Gaela Atli, Sister to Raomba Atli
Second born of King Jangwa and Queen Gaela of the Inbetween, Kufa is hard to manage, very full of energy, and has a big mouth. She's a good girl, all in all, but she can get jealous and is often very lazy about her own duties. She is a prankster, especially against her older brother Raomba, and is especially protective of her little cousin Teron and her friend Ina.
Her life is very content and quiet, no matter how much she stirs up, until her brother finds a piece of the Mauti Reminisce and it severs his paw. Concerned for her brother, a sense of maturity hits her and she tries to convince her brother to go seek medical attention, but he constantly refuses. She soon becomes the voice of reason to him as he plunges into dispair due to the side-effects of the Mauti Reminisce and then the disappearance of Ina.
Her stubborness soon takes over after her brother loses hope for anything to become better when his parents decide to risk crossing the Ukame in order to escape the Mwitu and the constant disappearances of children. She tells her brother that she will go and find Ina before they leave and offers for him to come home, but he refuses. Determined to set everything right she goes off to find Ina, guilting Raomba to point of making him follow her along the journey through Mwitu to search for Ina.
After they find the impostor Ina, an illusion meant to bring Kufa to the dark lady to be a part of her plans to become the sixth Mauti-Host, she is immediately suspicious, seeing that Ina didn't seem to be the same anymore. After Raomba finally finds the exit, Kufa confronts the fake Ina and finds out the sickening truth, but sadly, the impostor turns on her and leaves her brutally mangled and on death's door, only alive long enough to tell her brother to follow the assailant to A Be Danda, the place of Hell that is beneath the Dark Lady's Mountain.
After her death, she is later called upon by the Queen as a way to stop the hurt of the Mauti's along with Evangeline, Elizatay, Amal, Kalreet, Ventus, and Ina, who have all died and had relations with a Mauti Host to pick a suitable warrior to fight against the Mautis.
Kufa, remembering her brother and his love of Ina, makes the Ultimatum that it should be a girl, and the sight of Nikala's bright blue eyes made the decision final and she was the one who pushed it to be finalized.
