As Simba ran from the pride lands, through the long thicket, and out into the desert he was stopped by the site of a traveling pride of lionesses. Simba knew he couldn't return to the pride lands, and did not know where the nomads were roaming to. He begged to join them, but the leader, a bitter lioness named Zira turned him down. They had enough mouths to feed. As he turned from them, sad, walking away a strange sight caught his eyes. The one at the back of the pride was a white lioness! He would have been in more awe if he wasn't so devastated by his loss, so he kept walking.
The white lioness looked like a troubled soul, but was one of the only members of her pride to actually stop and look at the cub as he started walking into the desert. "We came from that direction, kid." She warned "nothing but death out there..."
Simba stopped and looked over his shoulder at the unusual lioness. "I don't care anymore..." he mumbled sadly.
The lioness, though concerned, shrugged. "suit yourself kid..." She couldn't leave the pride for this suicidal cub; not in this time of drought. No doubt the curse cast upon the outlands and desert would only progress forward. They had to keep moving to find a land that had not yet been cursed by the lack of rains, and there was saftey in numbers.
