Mega is an old lion that Kopa talked to in one of the six new adventure books, "Vulture Shock," when the young cub was wondering about his family tree. Apparently, he is, or maybe was, a member of the Pridelands lion pride, because he was featured in the book, but he was not seen in the second movie, Simba's Pride.

The male is described as an old lion with a full mane, though his exact age is unknown. He has a light tan fur color with a brown mane.

There are many fan suspicions of Mega appearing in later Lion King franchise. Mega is described as an old lion, so it's possible he is as old as Mufasa would have been if he was still alive.
