Nuka has a thin, lanky build with brown fur, and a very unkempt, scraggly black mane due to the lack of bathing. He is also irritated by termites and scratching himself frequently. He also has blood red eyes, scruffy fur, and tail tuft as well.

==Personality==
Nuka is usually shown to be extremely jealous of his brother, Kovu, for being chosen by Scar as his heir, and thus is shown to give him a hard time, such as intentionally letting him wonder off at the start of the [[The Lion King II: Simba's Pride|the second movie]]. He is shown to love his [[Zira|Mother]] dearly, catching her dinner (shown at the start of the second movie), and before he dies, tell her he was sorry, and that "''he tried''". Ironically, he was even more like Scar than Kovu: for both Scar and Nuka envied their brother, who would be king. He seems to be somewhat of a [[wikipedia:Pyromaniac|pyromaniac]], screaming avid "FIRE!" at the Elephant Graveyard, and getting excited when setting the Pride Lands alight.

==The Lion King II: Simba's Pride==
He constantly tries to please his mother and is very jealous of Kovu's position as Scar's heir. It was Scar's dying wish that Kovu be the next king despite the fact that Nuka is older than Kovu.  Nuka may think highly of himself due to the fact of him calling himself "''The oldest, the strongest and the smartest''" out of Zira's three children. Nuka carries out what Zira commands along with his sister Vitani.

Nuka helps the other [[Outsiders]] when ambushing Simba and Kovu, he is the first Outsider to try and attack Simba at the ambush, but gets pushes aside. As the Lioness' bombard Simba, Nuka takes a run at him and knocks him off a small cliff, then with the Lioness', slides down the cliff in pursuit of Simba. Simba climbs up a steep hill littered with old tree logs, and Zira shouts "''Get him, Kovu! Get him!''", but Kovu turns and runs away. Nuka then jumps in front, climbing up the steep hill and screaming "''I'll do it for you, Mother!''". As he climbs up, he asks if his mother is watching, then mutters "''I'm doing it for you, and I'm doing it for me''".

He grabs Simba's foot, but looses his footing on the log and falls, getting trapped under a large log. Simba clambers up the logs, knocking some onto Nuka, and trapping him inside the logs. Kovu attempts to dig him out, but Zira pushes him away and she removes the remaining logs, and is kind to Nuka the first time in the movie before he dies.

Zira blames Kovu for Nuka's death and slashes Kovu across the face, leaving him with a facial wound identical to Scar's.

==Nuka's death scene==
The scene where Nuka dies was originally longer, and survives as a pencil test. As Nuka lies crushed underneath the logs, Zira cradles his head gently with a paw. Pleased with her affection towards him, Nuka manages to say "''Well, I finally got your attention, didn't I?''" and made Zira smile at him. He croaked another "Didn't I..." before he finally dies. In the final version, Nuka is crushed by the logs, and Kovu rushes to pull the logs off, but he is pushed aside by Zira, who, at seeing her son under the logs, mutters "''Nuka...''" in a melancholic tone (this is the only time in the movie Zira is shown to be somewhat upset), and all Nuka says is "''I'm sorry, Mother... I tried...''", Zira then hushes him to sleep, at the same time looking shocked and upset by his death. Vitani stands beside her, muttering "''Nuka..''." then turning to the other Lions and hanging her head in sadness.

Mufasa is a large powerful male lion. He is the father of [[Simba]], the mate of [[Sarabi]], and the older brother of [[Scar]]. He is said to be the son of [[Ahadi]] and [[Uru]] in [[The Lion King: Six New Adventures]], but it is unofficial. He is wise and caring, often portrayed as the ideal king and wishes to pass those traits down to Simba.

==The Lion King==

In [[The Lion King]] Mufasa is the King of [[the Pridelands]]. At the beginning of the film, the presentation of his newborn son, [[Simba]] is shown. A short time afterwards, Simba wakes up Mufasa early in the morning, due to a promise Mufasa made to him prior to the events. Mufasa shows Simba the pridelands, and tells him that he too will be king of the pridelands someday, but to stay away from the Elephant Graveyard.

Simba, being a curious cub decides to venture off into the Elephant Graveyard with [[Nala]], after distracting Zazu. But soon Zazu catches up with them, but the Hyena's show up at the same time. They then attempt to roast Zazu in the ''"birdie boiler"''. Simba then confronts the Hyena's, but the plan backfires, and they try to attack him. But before they could, Mufasa shows off, and forces them to run away.

Mufasa then asks Zazu to take Nala home, while he talks to Simba. He tells him that the Great Kings of the Past are always looking down on them, and one day he will be the future king, and Mufasa will be part of the Great Kings of the Past.

Right after, the Hyena's tell Scar they couldn't get rid of Simba. So he devises a plan: to kill Mufasa.

==Death==

Scar has the hyenas scare a large group of wildebeast, in order to start a stampede. Simba attemps to run away from this invasion, but is very close to meeting his demise as well. He hangs onto a small branch right above the wildebeast, where [[Zazu]] then alerts Mufasa of what is happening. Mufasa arives at the situation, and grabs Simba with his mouth. He is attacked in the side by a wildebeast, but is still able to reach the ledge just in time to get Simba safe from harm. Mufasa is then carried off into the stampede, but jumps up, attempting to climb the ledge. When he gets towards the top he pleads for [[Scar]]'s help. Scar then proceeds to pierce Mufasa's paws with his own claws, and then whispers in his ear, "Long live the king." Scar then throws Mufasa into the stampede.

A litte bit after the events of Mufasa's death, Simba attempts to find out whether or not he had survived the stampede. He then discovers Mufasa's body, and cuddles up with him, and starts to cry into his stomach.

After his death, Mufasa is seen again when [[Rafiki]] explains to Simba that 'He lives in you'. Mufasa, who's spirit is in the clouds, tells Simba that he must return to the Pridelands to save his pride. Also, before Simba claims his kingship, Mufasa can be heard saying "''Remember''".

==The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride==

Mufasa only makes two appearances in Simba's Pride. Once during [[Kiara]]'s presentation, and the last time in Simba's nightmare. He also says "Well done my son. We are one." at the end of Simba's pride. He is also mentioned during the exile of [[Kovu]], where Kiara yells at Simba "''You will never be Mufasa!''", possibly referring to the fact, in Kiara's eyes, Mufasa may have forgiven Kovu and seen the ambush was not his fault. Simba is taken aback by the statement for a moment, suggesting he had been trying to live up to the "greatness" Mufasa had achieved in his time as ruler of the Pridelands.

== Broadway Musical ==

Mufasa's role is larger in the musical based on the first film. He sings [[They Live In You]] to young Simba when they are looking up at the stars. There is also an scene in which Mufasa tells Zazu about Simba's daring behavior. Zazu then reminds him on his early years as a cub.

He is portrayed by Sam Wright in the musical.
