This visit resulted in her first encounter with an Outsider: Kovu. After realizing Kiara was missing, Simba and a small number of Pridelanders went into the Outlands to bring her back.

The song goes over how Zira treats her enemies, and her plans for her son, [[Kovu]], when he grows up. The song is based on the anger Zira builds up towards [[Simba]], who killed her mate [[Scar]].
