Was Rafiki ever involved during Scar's reign?

I doubt it. Scar likely knew of Rafiki but Rafiki probably kept his distance to avoid being hyena chow.

I agree with that. And I guess Scar was so selfish and egoist that he might think that he didn't need any advices from an "idiot monkey".

I think Rafiki stayed in his tree most of the time during Scars reign.

I believe the canon is that Ahadi saved him from attack by Shenzi, Banzai and Ed and eventually uncovered Scar's initial plot to defame Mufasa, which is why Mufasa trusted him so closely.

Apologies, didn't read the original topic. No, I do not believe Scar ever consulted him. I would think however that Sarabi and/or Nala would have been in contact with him.

Like has already been stated by others. I think that Scar thought so highly of himself, that he would not have sought (Let alone have listened to) any advice from anyone.

On the other side of the coin, Rafiki didn't seem to like Scar much, either. Because of his spiritual connections, it's likely that Rafiki knew Scar wasn't the rightful king. I doubt he would have been willing to help Scar. He still stuck around in his tree because that was his home, and he could help the lionesses.

I agree with everyone and don't think that Scar ever consulted Rafiki during his reign. There's no reason to believe he did, considering the way he treated Zazu as a plaything rather than as a majordomo. Also, if Rafiki were involved, the Pridelands would not have fallen to ruin because he understands the Circle of Life.
