Lady & the Tramp RP (Queen Elsa & Julie)

[Carl]

"I don't know Angel," he muttered darkly, remembering what he'd learned about his parents. Even his mother had been in the pound once, or so he'd heard... The troubled mutt padded over to the fence around the yard and peered out, looking for the neighboring dogs, or anything really, before going on, "I think we should be prepared for the worst case scenario. We should find a new home. Just in case."

[Queen Elsa]

Angel's ears drooped at Scamp's idea, but she knew he was probably right. The sooner they searched for a new home, the better, just in case they were left behind. "Okay," she said. "But can we wait until tomorrow? I don't know how far I'll make it tonight, especially after all of this news."

[Carl]

He turned back to look at her, and at the expression on her face, his features softened. "Yeah, of course we can wait. Maybe sleeping on it would be best anyway," he murmured, padding back across the yard to where she stood. He didn't think his mind would change, it would be silly to just assume they were safe, after all, but with a clearer head and a good night's rest, they'd be better able to seek out potential new homes than they'd be able to do at this point in time. It would be better to start as early as possible, anyway, so that they would have more time before dark to cover more ground.

[Queen Elsa]

Angel gave him a small smile, before turning and walking back into the house. She curled up in her bed and closed her eyes, ready to go to sleep. But sleep didn't come easily this time, and when she would be able to go to sleep, she would have horrible nightmares about all of the different things that could happen with Jim Dear and Darling moving. One of them included her and Scamp in the dog pound, and she was the first one they chose to take into the back room. She jolted awake from that one to see the sun beginning to rise outside. She stretched and yawned, and then got up to look for Scamp so they could start looking for a new home.

[Carl]

After she left, Scamp remained in the yard for a few moments. He wanted to be wrong. He didn't want this reality to come, but he also knew that things would be terrible if anyone was left behind with no home. And he knew that he couldn't afford to assume things would be okay. After a moment, he went inside as well, finding himself a comfortable place to sleep (who needs to always use their bed?) and circled for a few seconds before flopping to the ground near the stairs, but not in front of them. He wouldn't want to get stepped on. The young canine had difficulties getting to sleep in the first place, and when he did, it wasn't restful sleep. He tossed and turned throughout the night, kicking with all four legs and rolling about, waking himself every now and then. All of it because of his troubled mind.

When he awoke near to daylight, he couldn't remember having had any dreams, but he was very tired. He padded over to the window and looked out at the predawn hour, feeling a bit glum and rather drowsy. His parents and sisters had been around, but they were all calm, normal. Sleeping soundly for the moment. He worried about them, but admittedly not as much as he did about himself and Angel. He yawned and rested his droopy head against the cool glass of the window, watching as the sun rose up to a typical morning height and dozing off slightly as he did so.

Angel found Scamp looking out the window. She walked over to him and jumped up to look out the window as well. It seemed like a beautiful day to look for a new home, and with it being sunny, many people would be out that they could meet and see whether they liked the home or not. "Are you ready to go?" she whispered, making sure none of Scamp's family could hear her. She didn't want to be told that they weren't allowed to go out looking for a new home. That would disastrous if and when Jim Dear and Darling moved.

[Carl]

Scamp started when Angel whispered to him, and bonked his head on the hard glass of the window as he jolted awake. "Huh... wha...?" he murmured as he processed what she had said for a second. "Oh, yeah, right. Yeah, I'm ready," he groaned a moment later, a yawn drowning out his last words. He shook his head sleepily, trying to wake himself before padding slowly towards the door. He hoped being out in the sun and the air would help wake him fully, otherwise this would be more difficult. Trying not to look as sleepyheaded as he was feeling, he put in an effort to add a bounce to his step as he pranced towards the doggie door and tried to jump through it, missing and banging his head on the side of the door instead. What a headache this morning was shaping up to be!

Angel tried not to laugh at Scamp's clumsiness, but it was just so adorable that she did let out a little chuckle from it. She padded up to the door, ready to jump through, but decided to tease Scamp a little bit. "Are you okay?" she asked. "You look like someone who is dizzy from spinning around for so long. Should I lead the way instead of you?"

[Carl]

"What, no way! I got this!" he replied, full of bravado, shaking his head to try and rid himself of the sleepiness. At this, he backed up, realigning himself with the doggie door, and continued stepping back. He was going to do it right this time, get a running start and burst through the flap into the outside world. Crouching down when he seemed to have achieved enough distance for the calculated move, he announced proudly, "Stand back! Wouldn't want you getting hurt by my slick moves!"

[Queen Elsa]

Angel watched as Scamp backed away from the door to get a straight shot through the door. "Oh, right. The slick moves. Are they going to be as slick as the last time?" she teased, but did as he said and stepped back far enough so she wouldn't get hurt if he miscalculated it again. She sat down and watched Scamp closely. This could be fun.
