They only announced it when they did because it was TLK's 20th anniversary, this kind of thing takes a very long time, and they need more animators first.

Well, they had some animation ready last november... Most likely when the disney channel starts previewing their fall stuff.

Well, to be completely honest and fair, if they're still looking for animators and they don't have enough material to make a trailer yet, it makes me concerned a little bit. Are they going to be able to do all that animation in 5-6 months? I mean, we don't even have all the actors confirmed yet. Are they even finished recording the lines?

I mean, I suppose part of that could be because it's rather hush-hush... but again, that does make me a bit concerned. November ain't that far away, really. Especially considering that TLG was announced nearly a year ago, and we haven't gotten all that much new material in that time.

Just because they're looking for additional animators doesn't mean they're in desperate need for more people or haven't even started production yet. Remember, The Lion Guard is also going to be a television series, so their involvement is probably going to be long-term.

The upcoming TV movie that serves as a pilot is most likely somewhat in the middle of production or even further at this time.

Do they do trailers for Junior shows? Like it will at most get TV spots there won't be any trailers, and they don't come out until like two or so months before.

Also the looking for animators isn't a cause for concern, this stuff is done months in advance and you really don't get to see any of it until it's released. Most shows are looking for someone all the time, its kind of just how animation is, especially TV animation.

^ Okay, thanks for the replies, guys. I was mostly wondering about the TV movie; didn't think that they probably just need people on the show. Guess it's different from the movie business a little bit.
