Welcome to the second MLK Monthly Fan Art Contest!

This contest was designed to recognize and celebrate the many talented fan artists within the My Lion King forums, and to encourage newer artists to keep up their fabulous work so that they may one day too be recognized!

Overview
The contest begins on the 1st of every month and ends 21 days later. During this 3 week period, members may submit any TLK related fan art that pertains to the theme of the contest for that month. When submission time is over, I will put up a voting thread for members to cast their vote for whichever picture they think deserves to win. Voting ends 3 days later, so get your votes in early! At the start of the next month I will put up another submissions thread with a victory button for the winner and a new theme of the contest that the winner chose.
In the event of a tie, I will post a tie-breaker thread where members may vote for their favorite artwork again. The thread will also be up for 3 days, and voting will end on the 27th.

Rules...
For submitting:

Pics must be no larger than 600 x 600 pixels.

Only one entry per artist please.

All art must be related to the theme of that month's contest in some way.

Fan art submitted must be drawn during the days of the contest. Old art will NOT be accepted.

Collabs or art done with another artist's help are not allowed either. Anything you submit must be strictly your own work.

GIFs and fancy images are allowed, but try not to overdo them to the point that they become flashy graphics or video clips.

Universal Rules still apply.

For voting:

☼ Please DO NOT vote for yourself.

☼ Don't vote for someone simply because they're your friend or they told you to. Vote for the picture that YOU think deserves to win.

☼ On a related note, don't tell anyone to vote for you or someone else. Again, this is not a popularity contest.

☼ Don't tell anyone who you voted for. This is strictly confidential.

For choosing a theme:
I will pm the winner the rules for this.

And Finally...
Don't lose heart! If you don't win one time, it doesn't mean you're a bad artist, it just means you need more practice. Remember, there's always next month, so keep drawing! =D


DISCLAIMER: This contest is not meant to "steal" fan artists from other contests, such as Mike's Fan Art of the Week Contest. It's just another idea for a fan art contest that randomly popped in my brain lol. I And as far as I know, it is perfectly alright to submit the same image for both contests as long as it fulfills the requirements of both of them! ^^

Guys, anyone can enter lol. To clear things up, this is the submissions thread, so if you have any art you want to submit for this contest just post it here! ^^ Just make sure it fulfills the requirements listed in my first post.

Here's my submission, I hope it's within the size limits. I'll upload a bigger version on DA.
I guess you're right Amanda.... it's not about winning, it's about having fun. And I had fun while I was drawing this, and it felt way better to draw that way then with tensity in my arm. And I know, I reacted angry in the first place, but I have to say thank you in the end, because for the first time in a long time I actually drawed and enjoyed doing so.
