Now then, I started to hold off on posting the fourth contest and simply announce the winners, but I decided that instead I will allow extra time. You see, on account of NaNoWriMo being this month, and many of us university goers having exams coming up, I figured it would be stupid to expect to get any entries in this month, so I had planned to just start the next round at the beginning of December. But then I thought, I'll just give people more time to write!

So here's the deal: the contest begins now, but you will have until the 25th of December, yes, Christmas day, to submit a story. As per usual your story can be about absolutely anything you would like... however, in the holiday spirit, I will have some cheery optional prompts. They will not all be Christmas-specific as I know and respect that not everyone celebrates Christmas.

Your optional prompts are:

• Winter Wonderland
• All I want for Christmas
• Happy Holidays
• Beneath the Mistletoe
• The Gift of Giving

The rules are as follows:

• Stories must be at least 1000 words in length, but should not exceed 4000 (a few words over will be fine)
• In accordance with site rules, they must be rated no higher than PG-13, nothing too explicit people!
• Cannot be plagiarized, or something you wrote previously for another purpose. Entries for this contest that were not completed on time may be submitted to a future contest.

To submit a story, PM it to me by the 25th of December. Have fun and happy writing!

I've kinda quit my NaNoWriMo, so I might actually give this contast a go again this round after skipping the last two.

I tried twice for NaNoWriMo, but I guess I've quit too.

I'm looking forward to some nice entries, and I think we may get a handful this time.

I'll try to get something in. I did start writing something awhile ago, I just haven't gotten very far with it, and with finals next week plus a college application I need to work on, I'm pretty busy. I'll try to get it in, but I can't make any promises.

If I can tear myself away from watching OITNB / Doctor Who on Netflix, I might see if I can scrape something together during my next couple of night shifts.

Well, I do understand if neither of you can get anything in, however, we have only 2 days until I'll have to extend the deadline--all of today and all of Christmas Day is all I'd initially planned to allow.

Considering this has been open already for about a month and a half, I'd really rather not extend the deadline, though I suppose I will if I don't get anything in in time.

The day's almost through and still no entries... I'll extend it by a week I guess. Maybe we'll get some by then.

I should be able to get something in by then, since I'm on Winter Break now. The only problem is that my siblings are, too, and they'll probably want to play with me every chance they get. But I'll try to get something in.
