Srung noticed that his chief was busy so he just bowed his head and left without much of a word. He decided to look around for an escort. Many of the warriors were still on their morning hunt, and it would be difficult to find someone that would be so kind as to protect him while he hunted for the vital herbs. Srung climbed tree's to try and find warriors, but with no luck. The Na'vi that WERE warriors didn't pay him much mind and told him that he'd be fine on his own. He knew that wasn't true considering he'd nearly been killed on hunts for herbs before. He needed to be sure he wouldn't die before going after what he needed.

Srung had ventured away from home tree a little, with a grumpy look on his face. His search was beginning to irritate him as no one cared enough to help him. It was quite annoying how all these Na'vi are at his mercy for healing, but when he asks something of them they are too busy with their families or duties. He decided that he wouldn't take an escort with him.

It didn't take the young Na'vi long to locate some of the herb that he was looking for, but he needed alot more then what he had. He stopped near another large tree, and bent down to pick up a batch of the herbs when he heard a low growl behind him. Srung turned his head slowly to see a Palulukan, staring at him and licking it's lips. It let out a few menacing short roars making Srung get up quickly. He was advised not to make sudden movements with these creatures as a boy, but it was hard not to want to run. It began to get closer and Srung did not know what to do.

The Palulukan prepared to pounce but roared in pain as an arrow pierced it's shoulder. Srung looked towards who had shot the arrow and noticed a Na'vi lady huntress land next to him. "You must run, now! The toxin will only work for a short while on the beast!" The Na'vi said quickly.

"L-Leave you to it? I cannot by Eywa, let that happen." Srung said with a gulp. The Na'vi looked sternly at him, and quickly turned as the Palulukan began to get focused again. It let out a short growl, baring it's teeth to the Na'vi huntress.

"I said go!" The Huntress said as she dropped her bow, and took out a carved knife from a leather holder around her waist. Srung couldn't leave this lady on her own. Eywa would smite him for leaving a fellow Na'vi to die at the hands of a Palulukan. He wondered how he could help, as he watched the huntress taunt and fight the Palulukan. She seemed to have managed to apply some blows, but the Palulukan had managed some as well. By the end of the great battle the Na'vi huntress was exhausted and her ankle was badly injured. The good news was that the Palulukan had it's throat slit. She tried to put pressure on her ankle, but she wailed in pain falling down.

"Oh, let me help. I'm a shaman." Srung offered. The Na'vi lady looked to Srung, baffled by his stupid decision to stay but nodded. She let him examine her ankle, and winced when he touched it.

"I have some herbs that'll fix this right up back in the tribe. Can you walk?" Srung asked. He thought this female was in the same tribe as he was.

"I will not take charity from anyone. If I live then I live, If I die then I die." She said trying to stand up but falling back down. Srung sighed as he shook his head.

"Come. Think it not charity, but payment. You saved my life and now I'll save yours." Srung said offering his hand to her. She hesitated for a moment looking down in thought and nodded, taking his hand. With Srung's help they slowly made their way towards hometree. Srung wanted to tell everyone of her fabulous defeat of the Palulukan, but he had to heal her first. Too bad that little did Srung know, that this girl was the princess of another tribe.

Tirea stands immediately as the chief requested. Listening to the chiefs orders, Tirea's glance quickly shifts for a brief second to notice Srung leaving the quarters. He then changes his attention back to the chief to hear that Tsa'em will accompany him on his mission, and that she can be found in the roosts.

"Thank you I will find Tsa'em immediately and find the remaining Pa'Li." He bows to the chief, and quickly turns around facing the exit of the chief's quarters. He starts to pace quickly out of the quarters, but did not want to show rudeness by darting out like a child. Once he left the site of the chief, Tirea dashes through the gathering hall and up the main branch towards the roosts where he hoped he would find Tsa'em.

Tirea continues to dart through the cavern of the tree until he has finally reached the roosts. He slowed down his pace to a steady walk as he did not want to spook any of the ikran, but his eyes would not stop gazing at what seemed like thousands of ikran flying all around and hanging from the vines. As tireya continue farther out on the roosts, he thought to himself soon he would have his own ikran and be able to join his brothers in the sky.

He soon broke from his day dreaming as he noticed Tsa'em flying on her ikran in the sky around. "Tsa'em!" he screams, hoping that would get her attention over the screeching noises from the other ikran.

Tsa'em's ears, enhanced by her connection with her ikran, were able to pick up sounds that would otherwise have been too weak for her to hear. Her own ears twitched reflexively towards the source, back on the upper branches of Hometree. Even from this distance she was able to look over her shoulder and pinpoint Tirea standing at the edge of an upper branch. Though she regretted that the bliss of her morning flight must be cut off already she guided Kato back around towards Hometree. He called out in disappointed protest, also unhappy to be leaving the sky, but responded to her thoughts.

They glided through the air without flapping, losing speed and lift all the while, and on a course that would bring them just under the branch that Tirea was standing on and a little to the side. As they passed directly under the enormous branch of Hometree's upper canopy Tsa'em tracked out a swift maneuver that brought them twisting up and around, using the last of their momentum to turn and climb, landing lightly. Tsa'em brought Kato to face sideways where she could address the young hunter without dismounting or speaking over her mount's intimidating face.

"I hope whatever you have to say was worth bringing me down from the skies." she said. Tsa'em's voice was light and airy, suiting both her body and her specialty, and it was at the moment laced with a combination of resignation and dry sarcasm. She smiled at the promising young warrior, letting him know that in fact she bore him no resentment for calling her down. After all, Tirea would soon be following her up the stairway to heaven at her heels, taking the next step towards filling the footsteps left by his lineage.

Srung remained silent as he walked while keeping the huntress balanced. His eyes examined strange scars on her stomach and arm with slight curiosity. "Are those scars?" Srung asked quietly, hoping that he wouldn't offend the elegant huntress. She chuckled slightly and shook her head.

"No Shaman. They are trophies. My people believe in the way of the warrior. When we walk away from a battle with injury, we feel very proud. Proud because after we overcome that injury we will be much tougher and stronger then we were before." The Huntress explained. Srung raised an eyebrow at what she said, looking at her like she was insane.

"Well, my people consider scars a blemish and don't like having them. That's why they come to me. I heal them so well that they don't need to worry about scars. Ironic part is, that I was actually looking for the herb that prevents scarring when you saved me from that beast. I hope the other creatures make use of it's death..." Srung murmured quietly. The Huntress looked down and shook her head.

"If you are worried about Eywa being upset over a single creatures loss so you may survive..." The Huntress began. "Eywa is an entity, but her voice calls not through the forest. Whatever we do to survive, does not matter. If we are to let a pack of beasts rule over us because Eywa says it shall be so, we would not live and where is Eywa then?" The Huntress pointed out. Srung's eyes narrowed and he avoided eye contact with the huntress. She had done the unthinkable and blasphemed right in front of him. He had half a good mind to leave her on her own right now. He fought the urge to do so however, because that would just be against Eywa and in its own sense would be blasphemous.
