[Closed to Amanda and Kivuli]

Character Bios:
Name: Beleos Longtail
Species: Field Mouse
Gender: Male
Age: About 10 seasons (So roughly 15 years old)
Personality: Very hot headed, and arrogant. He has a bit of a tough attitude, but beneath that attitude lies his insecurity of not having his parents with him since he was three. He is kind to some, and cold to others. He also has a sense of humor, despite his situation in life.
Description: Dark brown fur, brown eyes, a long tail (hence his last name) and normal height for a teenaged mouse. He usually wears a red shirt, trimmed with gold silk, and has a small dagger in a sheath around his waist.
History: Nobody at Redwall knows about Beleos's past except the select few that he told. He was raised since he was three seasons old, and trained by captain Festus. Beleos had come from a long line of noble warriors. All Beleos could remember was a fire, and the sounds of conflict as he was being carried away by Festus. Bits, and pieces of the rest of his history will be revealed in this rp.
Name: Festus Adderbane
Species: Field Mouse
Gender: Male
Age: Quite Old
Personality: Festus is quite the interesting character. He is very intelligent, and tends to speak in riddles. He also talks kindly to everbody, friend or foe. Festus is also extremely polite, and gentle with lady mice. [by gentle, I mean he doesn't show any signs of violence]
Description: Gray fur, dulled brown eyes, a small white goatee, and a suit of old grayish armor. He also wears a purple cape indicating his role in the last king's army. He has both a dagger, and a sword in sheaths around his waist.
History: Festus Adderbane was a high ranking captain, in the army of the beast king Remus. When Romulus killed Remus and stole the throne Festus ran off to find Sebastien Longtail a high ranking war hero to discuss what must be done. When Festus entered Sebastien's house, his son was asleep, and Sebastien himself was not there. All that was there was a letter, and a book with the crest of the longtail noble clan ensignia on it. Festus read the letter, and followed out on his old friend's wishes. The rest of his history is displayed in tid bits within this rp.
It had been quite some time, since Mattimeo had been saved by his father. Ever since they got back, everything was normal. No excitement, no great battles, no evil war lords. Just normal, peaceful life at Redwall Abbey. Constance had taken a liking to Auma and trained her to be the next badger mother of Redwall. Mattimeo had grown into a young adolscent mouse, taking no interest in a fighting career like his father. This sort of upset Matthias, but he knew pushing his son into doing something he didn't want to do would be a very unjust thing to do.
Today was particularly quiet, Matthias noticed as he walked into the empty chamber of the prophecy. He smiled to himself as he looked at the small woven image of Martin. Was his job over? Did he fulfill what Martin wanted him to? His thoughts went back to Martin's sword, and how it had helped him through all of his troubles. The smile on his face faded as he stepped closer towards the tapestry in front of him. He placed his hand on Martin's figure on the tapestry. "Thank you Martin...for all you've done." Matthias said quietly as he turned and made his way slowly out of the tapestry room. He adjusted his green robes as he walked out of the abbey, and into the front yard of Redwall.
"Ah, Matthias! Good Morrow!" Basil said as he approached the defender of Redwall from where he was standing.
"Good Morrow Basil. How's everything going?" Matthias asked with a kind smile towards his trusted old friend. Basil pat his stomach.
"Starving. Would you happen to know what Cornflower is serving for lunch this fine day?" Basil asked with a chuckle. Matthias laughed as he shook his head no. Regardless of how older Basil had gotten in the past few years, he was still the same hungry little hare.
"Aw! I'm going to go sneak a peek. Be back very soon." Basil said as he made his way quickly into the abbey. Matthias looked to the pond now, and made his way slowly towards the bench over looking it. He sat down at the bench, and gazed at his reflection in the pool.
Festus growled as he pushed his cape out of the way of his feet, tripping over several small tree roots. "Curse this forest! It mocks me with every step I take!" Festus murmured angrily as he finally unsheathed his sword, and began cutting every root that almost tripped him. The old captain had been traveling days without much sleep or food, so it was obvious that he wasn't in a good mood.
Beleos sighed as he follwed quickly after the captain, jumping over any obstacle that was too large for him to step over. He dusted off his shirt so that he looked good when they got to Redwall. "Festus, stop fussing! We will be there soon! No need to be in such a grumpy mood!" Beleos said with a small chuckle as he jumped over another medium sized root.
"No! I want to be grumpy! Boy I have not had food, or sleep in four days! Be glad I take it out on the roots, and not you!" Festus pointed out. Beleos took that into thought. His training was tough enough as it is, so he figured that Festus was right.
"Hold on! Look Festus!" Beleos said pointing towards the rather large structure in front of them. Festus growled as he cleaned his blade before putting it back in his sheath. His face lit up slightly as he too spotted the great gates of Redwall.
"Hark, we are there! Great merciful lord!" Festus said with a sigh of relief, as he and Beleos made their way through the clearing on the dirt path towards the main gate of Redwall. Festus stopped abruptly at the gate, and wondered what he should do. Would knocking suffice ? Before Festus could decide, Beleos had already knocked on the rather large door quite hard.
"Now we wait." Beleos murmured as he waited for someone to let them in.
