It had been a few weeks since the Black pearl last saw land. During that time, they picked up a new crewmember named Patrick. a young boy who could do voodoo. This made Barbarossa uneasy. "I still think it was a bad Idea not to throw that kid back in the water." He told Captain jack Sparrow.

Jack smirked. "He may be of some use to us. After all, we never know what we're going to run into, savvy?" he said, turning his attention back to sailing the ship.

"But if he turns on us I reserve the right to say I told ye so..Savvy." Barbarossa replied, going below deck as Patrick scooted past him and came above deck. "So where are we heading Captain Jack Sir?" Patrick asked the captain.

Jack turned to acknowledge the young sailor. "You see, we're searching for an island said to contain a chest of Aztec gold. It's been a long search so far," he said.

Lizzie was on deck. Mop in hand, her long blond hair matted with the salty sea air. She often kept to herself, but she had alot of respect for Barbosa. She looked up and saw her father, Jack Sparrow wandering the decks. Jack, had no idea she was his blood and she planned to keep it that way. She was often ashamed to call him 'father' so she kept it from the crew. Overhearing the word 'gold' She leaned in closer, trying to hear what was being said.

"Aztech gold, OK." Patrick replied as he grabbed another mop and gave Lizzy a hand.

Jack nodded. "Yes, mate, many pieces of Aztec gold taken from their conquered cities by Cortez himself. We'll be bloody rich!" he exclaimed before slipping into a memory of how he had become captain of this great ship: by making a deal with the ruler of the sea depths himself, Davy Jones. "Hopefully, we'll get this swag before my debt comes due," he added.

Patrick Ignored Jack and looked up at Lizzy. " Hey Lizzy." The young boy smiled. "Thought I'd give you a hand." Patrick said as he swabbed the deck.

Another of the crew, a tall, muscle-bound African man with many tattooed dots around his eyes emerged. He was called Bo'sun and he was responsible for maintaining discipline aboard the ship. "So, does anyone have any idea where we are headed?" he asked to no one in particular.
