Title: Like an Hourglass

Story: This is set after "Aladdin and the King of Thieves". Some time after they return from their last journey on the carpet, Jasmine learns that she is pregnant with her and Aladdin's first child. Aladdin is overjoyed, but nervous at the same time. After the months pass, Jasmine delivers a healthy son, whom they name "Ali Ababwa". Soon after this, the Sultan becomes ill and passes away, making Aladdin and Jasmine the new sultan and sultana of Agrabah. Years pass, and Ali has grown into a happy and energetic 10-year old. Watching all of this is the evil Mirage, who will stop at nothing to get her hands on the boy. As all of this is happening, a voice, the voice of Jafar, begins to make itself known in Aladdin's mind. This evil voice tries to spread doubt and fear.

Aladdin had recently returned from the flying carpet ride that he and Jasmine had gone on after their wedding. At the moment, he was in their chamber after spending some time in the menagerie watching Rajah as he interacted with a new companion, a lioness named Shahra. He removed his turban and laid down on the bed. Just then, he saw Jasmine. "Oh Jasmine, now that we're married, it seems like only yesterday that I was parading through the streets of Agrabah pretending to be Prince Ali," he said.

Jasmine twirled around to face Aladdin, she was brushing her lovely long black hair out of its braid. She smiled, her brown eyes watching him. "Yes, it seems like only yesterday when we took our first carpet ride." she added looking back to the mirror. Jasmine pulled a white silky ribbon from a beautiful jeweled box and tied her hair back. "Rajah...come here!" she called to her pet tiger. She gave his head a soft rub and tickled under his chin, "Whos a good boy." she said rubbing her nose to the big tiger's face. She kissed his nose gently, "Rajah wasn't too fond of you either Prince Ali." she added making her way to join Aladdin on the soft bed. She fell into the silk sheets and her big brown eyes admired her new husband, "But now your my Aladdin." she said.

The big cat made his way into the bedroom and purred softly as Jasmine hugged him and kissed his nose. Giving a smile the big cat curled in a pile of pillows not to far from Jasmine and Aladdin's own bed.

Aladdin smiled. "And the other good part? Jafar is gone for good," he said proudly, remembering both of his final fights with the former Grand Vizier.

"Abgrabah is finally at peace...Jafar was evil. Very evil." she said softly laying her head on a soft pillow, her hair cascaded around her body. Jasmine looked at Aladdin, "What are we doing tomorrow?"

Aladdin looked around for a moment before looking back at Jasmine. "Well, your father wanted us to sit in on the drafting of the trade agreement he's making with a kingdom called Ghadir. He says it'll be good for us to observe the proceedings for when we have to do it when we rule Agrabah," he said.

"Ahh..our royal duties." she muttered while rolling over with her face in the pillow. Jasmine looked at Aladdin and rubbed her belly, "Ughh..I have been feeling so sick lately." she added peeking a eye up from the pillow to look at Aladdin. "Now that Agrabah is safe we can move on with our life, have a family." she whispered with a grin.


"Hahaha...a Family? Agrabah..Safe? Dear Jasmine, the worst is yet to come." said a smooth evil voice. Long black paws with lengthy fingernails swirled around a crystal ball as her green eyes peered down peaking on the newlyweds. A pearly white grin flashed as the female cat let out a evil hackle, "We shall see Aladdin." she hissed as the crystal balls disappeared in front of her. Miarage sat deep in her Sphinx temple, a evil plan was brewing in her mind.

Aladdin smiled. "We should devote the night to relaxing together. After dinner, I'll ask Genie and the others to give us some time alone. Does that sound good?" he said, unaware of Mirage's plot.

"Sounds good." Jasmine said sitting up in bed, she started to re-braid her long hair and looked at Aladdin. "Alright, lets go see Genie and see if dinner is ready. Come Rajah.." Jasmine called as she grabbed Aladdin's hand pulling him to his feet and walking down the hall towards the dinning room. She rested her head on his shoulder, she was tired and heard her stomach growl. She sighed and she heard the Genie speaking in the other room, "Looks like hes ready for dinner.." she said softly to Aladdin.

Rajah followed close behind Aladdin and Jasmine the tiger growling softly at the Genie being so loud. He laid on his soft large pillow in the corner of the room. He waited for a servant to bring him his meat and water.

The Sultan was already in his seat, awaiting the meal of lamb and bread to be brought. Along with him was Aladdin's father Cassim and Genie. Finally, the elderly ruler saw his daughter and son-in-law enter. "Ah Jasmine, Aladdin, you have arrived. The meal will be here shortly," he said.
