M'yobi is a young African clawless otter with striking yellow-orange fur, blazing orange eyes, and red tribal markings along his forehead, tail, and left eye. He wears a tribal marked shell pendant.
Growing up, M'yobi lived in a small tribe along the river that ran between the Pridelands and the Outlands. Being very mischievous, M'yobi often liked to annoy the local crocodiles by slapping them with his tail and swimming off before the much slower crocs could catch him. One day, while croc searching, M'yobi noticed a small lion cub had fallen in the river and was being pursued by a hungry crocodile. Using his powerful tail, he quickly swam to the young cub and the two climbed the shore, out of the croc's reach.
Unknowingly to M'yobi, the cub he just saved was the future king of the Pridelands. The cub and M'yobi would soon become friends and later, this act of bravery would ensure his position as adviser to the King.
