Looks like Kovu's having some problems...
Basically, Kovu has just messed up royally (this has to do with a story that I'm working on, kind of the theme of it) and now Scar is trying to tell him that it was all for the cause. Scar is also a figment of Kovu's imagination.

I recall this being in my messages on dA, hadn't got the time to comment just yet there so I'll go ahead here.
very interesting piece. so perhaps there was a darkness Kovu couldn't escape as well, then? you should definitely link the story when you're finished, or post it in the fanfics area of the forum

ummmmmmmm ..... is the green cracks and bones beneath Scar supposed to resemble like if he is in the elephant graveyard in Kovu's imagination???

Not necessarily the graveyard, but they are part of the Scar vision
