jahi was once Prince and future King of the Pride until a deed of some newcomers stole the land away from his pride, killing his father along with it. After many moons of travel, he and his pride arrive in the Pridelands border. A few volunteers went to talk to the Prideland lions, his Mother Kita and her sister, Maati, ask to join the pride.
During this time, Jahi hides out to see what the Pridelands looked like and knew that this was the place would want to live in. Catching the young lion snooping around and Maliki refuses because they have a son. Kita becomes enraged and threatens that she'd be back and ready.
A few years later, Jahi decided to venture back into the Pridelands once more and think to himself, but as he does so, Queen Kita decides that her oldest son is ready to go and face the Pridelanders,
