"Oomph!" she grunted as she was thrown against a rock.
Anger bubbled up inside her. Simba had ruined everything!
She knew what to do...
Forcing her head above the surface, Zira gulped in a breath of air before being sucked back under. She paddled desperately towards the surface. Kovu thought she was dead... Ha... He was a fool, just like Simba...
Suddenly she heard Vitani's cries.
"Mother!" Vitani yowled. "Mother?!"
Zira's ears pricked. Vitani had not forgotten her, no... Vitani had stayed loyal... But could she be sure her daughter was loyal to her? After all, the tufted lioness had turned her back on Zira.
Perhaps Vitani had turned her loyalty back to her mother? Yes, that was it.
"I'm- coming!" Zira called between gasps.
Minutes passed and her claws met rock. Finally!
Fury and hatred pricked her pelt as she heard a long bellow, followed by many other roars. Simba... Nala... And pretty "Princess" Kiara.
Zira vowed to get her revenge. She would attack one day...
But for now, she rises again...
