Kopa
Simba and Nala's son in a book series called "The Lion King: Six New Adventures" that was released in 1994.

Kiara
Simba and Nala's daughter in the sequel film "The Lion King II Simba's Pride" that was released in 1998.

Kion
Simba and Nala's son (and Kiara's little brother) in the upcoming TV series called "The Lion Guard".

I don't know what to think about Kion or the TV series. At first, I thought the whole thing was a hoax... Actually, I was hoping it was a hoax. I was afraid that Kion would "replace" Kiara... As if there weren't enough plot holes already! But it seems that Kiara will appear in the series, so no worries. *sigh* It took me years to "accept" Kopa and figure what to do with him... And now there's another son of Simba and Nala! Hmm, I need to make some alterations to my TLK story.

I never was a big fan of Kiara's or Kopa's design, but this... this... What?! Pinkish stripes in the hair? White eyewhites? And what is that pawprint marking on his shoulder?

Well, at least he's not a clone of Simba. He's not a clone of anyone. He's unique and different. So unique and different that I think he's probably adopted.

Haha, they all have funny names. Kopa means "heart" (the card suit, not the organ) in Swahili. Kiara means "finger" in Kikuyu. (I know the name Kiara has many meanings in different origins, but I can't imagine an African lioness having an Irish name...) Kion doesn't seem to have a meaning in any African language I've tried... Don't tell me it's just Lion with K replacing L...

Anyway, it's still a long time before the series starts. I can't help being a bit excited. Just a bit. Even though the main character looks weird and has a weird name... I can't wait to see what color they make Nala's eyes! Green? Blue? Purple? Gray?

Wehhh~T.T I-I dont know what to say... Thats so... So... Why disney didnt do this about Kopa?! Why they had to design a new son for Simba and Nala?! And the name.... I suppose its a connection of Lion and King... Sorry, I am just mad at this Idea... Nice Picture^-^

I think it Kion means Young Warrior. At least i think that's what one if the sites said. I have a feeling the show will either be cancelled not long after it comes out OR it just get cancelled entirely before it can make it to tv.

They've probably never heard of Kopa. He's an unofficial character who wasn't even created by Disney, so he's not really that famous...

Well its just what i read. And i don't really mean cancelled but they'll just stop making episodes. It doesn't seem like a show that can last too long.

I can't say that I'm not a little interested in this upcoming series. But I'm a little concerned about it too. I mean sure a Lion King series sounds really cool to me but the question is what will it be like? I'm just concerned because it's not clear if this series will be written the original Lion King way or the more "modern" cartoon way, if you know what I mean. But nevertheless, I do like the picture.

Yeah, I agree with you on his design. And I agree with Numa about using Kopa, as well. Confusing! How does everyone know about this, by the way?
