As Chomo said goodbye to Laini and Naima, who were leaving to hunt, she felt something sharp pierce her throat. She turned her head and saw Harambee.
"Listen here, Chomo," he growled savagely. "Your mother will give me an heir. I don't care how much you hate it that we try to have cubs every month, you are my daughter and I am your father, and your king! You will do what I tell you."
"Wh-why can't N-Naima be heir?" Chomo stuttered.
"Because she is a female!" Harambee spat. "And she is not worthy to be ruler."
"B-but Father, I-I-I-"
"You are a pathetic, scrawny cub!" Harambee sneered. "You don't deserve to be ruler either."
"I-I-I don't w-want to be r-ruler!" Chomo whimpered.
"Ha. See, you are pathetic. I don't know how I produced a pitiful cub like you! Your weakness probably came from your mother's bloodlines!" Harambee snarled.

No, to clear things up, I am not against females that are rulers. I'm a girl myself, so I am definitely not against ruling women. I just wanted a character that was very selfish and arrogant, thinking that only males were worthy to rule kingdoms.
