Nywele was a lioness with a tomboyish, bold, outgoing personality. She was sometimes a tiny bit impudent but usually without meaning to act rude.
She had a backwards tuft of hair on her head that made her look like a male, at least according to some of the girls in her pride. When she was driven out because of her frequent clashes with her father that sometimes got physical, she left willingly. Nywele became a loner and she wandered aimlessly. Her only goal was to find a small, secluded, quiet area to make her territory in.
After she found her destination and marked her territory, she lived in peace until she was pursued by a lion who wanted her to have his cubs for him, to "raise a new generation for him" without stopping.
Nywele refused and the lion became angry. He attacked her at night, forcing cubs on her. She attacked him and drove him away, but after a week, she realized it was too late to turn back. She was expecting cubs and she couldn't change it.
She had the cubs in her small den, two females. she named them Waudhi ["annoy"] and Inakera ["irritate"]. Nywele hated the cubs, despite knowing it wasn't the cubs' fault. She raised them to be cruel, harsh, and bitter.
