Little Dann was happy since had cool dad. For him Mosi, his father, was a hero, the best lion and other cubs could only envy him. He always had time for Dann, played with him and for Farai, Dann's mum, was good and protective. Dann knew that he would be the same like his father.
When Mosi became a security guard, had time less for his son. But Dann understood it. However with time his father less and less has been with him and mum, started coming back more later and during the evening mum quarreled with him. Dann was sad but believed that at one time this situation would change. And he wasn't wrong, but didn't think, that this ghastly evening will be changed his life...
Dann came back from play with lion cubs. From a distance heard his crying mum. Quickly he ran to their den. He found lying mum which sobbed and father standing over her. When Mosi saw him, was surprised. Apparently he didn't expect him.
Dann: Dad, what's happened? Why is mum crying? Does something ache her?
Mosi: Son... How to tell you... You're a big cub, so I won't be lying to you. I'm walking away...
Dann: Where? And when will you come back?
Mosi: Eh... You see son... some time ago I got to know a lioness and I fell in love with her. And therefore I'm walking away to her, I will live with her.
Dann was in a state of shock. He wasn't able to comprehend it. Does his father love other lioness? He had tears in eyes
Dann: Dad, don't you already love us?
Mosi: Son, I love you so much and you will be always important for me. I will visit you, and if you want, you can come to us.
Dann: And mum? Don't you love her too?
Lion sighed and nothing said. Dann looked at crying mum. In this moment he didn't withstand, felt great anger, started crying and shouting at the father.
Dann: I thought you were best dad in the world! I wanted to be such like you! But you're stupid! How you can't love mum and how you can leave us?! I hate you father! I hate you! Get out of here! I don't want to see you anymore! You're dope and rubbish!
Mosi became irritated about these words. He wanted to say something, but didn't want to start the quarrel. He turned and looked angrily at Dann.
Dann: Get out!
And Mosi walked away. Farai hugged Dann and both cried.
