Hey! This is my debut piece in my album here on MLK, so be sure to let me know what you think. Comments, criticism, and etc. are always appreciated. This one is of my OC, Nyota, walking through the savanna at night. I'm not sure exactly when in the story this is taking place... not that it matters much, though - this is more of a test than anything else.

This is amazing! Well done - especially one the background! I'd love to know how you did it as I have a lot of trouble with backgrounds on GIMP.

Hey! Sorry I took so long to respond, I took some... time off... from MLK for a while, I guess. :p

The background - I used and blended different shades of blue for the sky and put in some stars. If I remember correctly, I used the burn/dodge tool on the moon to give it some depth/shading, and I used Render to put in fog in front of it. The grass was mostly just blended colors - I used the standard brush. As for the tree, I just used the pencil tool to sketch in some brown lines and airbrushed green over it.

In retrospect, it looks kind of fuzzed. But thank you anyways for the compliment, I hope that helped!
