"I can't believe that Kopa isn't your dad," Khalfani said, trotting up beside her cousin. There was a devastated look in her blue-green eyes.
The medium brown male sighed and looked down to his cousin.
"I'm going to leave to find out who my real dad is."
"What ? You can't do that! You have to stay, Faraji! You can't leave me!" Khalfani exclaimed, tears running down her cheeks.
He stared at her, walking towards the entrance to the cave in Priderock.
"I'm so sorry Khalfani." Faraji said quietly, a single teardrop streaming down his face. "You don't know how much I want justice."
"But Faraji," Khalfani said, obviously pushing it. "What if Vitani is not your mom ?"
"Then there is one thing left to do."
He looked outside. It was broad daylight, and they were the only lions in the cave.
"Goodbye, Khalfani." He finally said.
"I love you."

Just from that, I can tell they are very close. More like brother and sister than cousins. Like my mom and her niece and nephew. My mom really misses her niece.
