After the Force Clan split up and his mentor's sudden death, and the new King of the Slashlands, the black lion went into the blood wall cave, his home. The memories of his mother swirled around him as he wondered why he wanted to kill her.
"Mom? When can I play with the other cubs?" He saw himself ask.
"Soon, my sweet child. Very, very soon." His mother purred.
He sighed. "I'm sorry, Mom...please forgive me..."

I forgive you, sweet child of mine... He heard his mother's voice, not a memory.
