Started over with the comic for various reasons, here's the new prologue cover of Inheritance. :3

The Lion King III: Inheritance takes place shortly after the events in The Lion King II (after a brief prologue that takes place between the two films). It focuses on a forgotten plot thread from TLK I: the hyenas. From TLK II, we only know that they 'ran off' from the Elephant Graveyard; there is no explanation as to why. There is also no obvious reasons as to exactly why they were forced to live there in the first place, when other predators (we see cheetahs at the beginning of TLK I) are allowed to live in the Pridelands. That story will address some of those questions ... and hopefully make the readers (as well as the main characters!) think a little about what truly defines 'good' and 'evil.'

You know I don't believe that a third Lion King movie would truly be necessary. I just can't see anymore big problems because the prides are together in peace and the hyenas are not causing any trouble.

No offense to your ideas or art though, because I really enjoy the creativity in your pictures and I think that the comic is a good idea. Just being honest though.

Well, that's if you assume the hyenas are always the 'bad guys.' Disney adheres to some rather crude sterotypes with them.

The hyenas clearly don't have much to eat in the Elephant Graveyard in the first movie, and every time they try to leave - to get food - the lions hunt them down. Not very sporting of them.

I think there's definitely a possible story there. You might feel differently, but I'm not forcing anybody to read it. ;3

Oh no, I'm not saying I'm against the comic. Sorry if that comment sounded like I meant your idea was not necessary. I only meant that I can't imagine Disney making another Lion King film.

Oh, yeah, I don't think they'll ever make another one. x3 Well ... maybe not EVER. They are making another Star Wars movie now that they've gotten hold of the franchise ... xD

I am hoping they don't make one though. Even TLK II wasn't as good as the original. I don't think they could do the first one justice.
