[mlkfaa] - Character -> Imvula by imvula
Imvula is my fursona, but believe it or not, she first started out as my Lion King OC. I usually pair her up with my OC Sihle.
"Her mother is Thanda, a low-ranking lioness in Zira's Pride. Imvula was the youngest of two cubs born to Thanda and a leopard named Weusi. Her sister was the most leonine looking while Imvula was more leopard-like. Unfortunately, Imvula's older sister died just 2 days after birth. Imvula had a relatively normal cub hood, she'd often play with the only other cubs in the Outlands Pride. But soon, her young life would change forever.
Zira found out who Imvula's father was, and as a result of this, Zira chased Thanda and Imvula into the Pridelands. Determined to defend her cub from Zira, Thanda battled against her, saliva and blood flying everywhere as the two lionesses fought to the death. Just as things were looking bad for Imvula and her mother, Weusi arrived on the scene and he tore a piece out of Zira's ear. Weusi had lost the vision in his right eye, but Thanda had lost her life and Zira has fled the scene with a torn eat. And poor Imvula had witnessed the whole battle. The poor cub was in a state of shock. Weusi, unable to care for his daughter alone, took her to the only place where he believed she'd be safe; Pride Rock.
At first, Simba was reluctant to take the young cub on given her Outlander heritage but after much discussions with the pride and Nala, Imvula had been allowed to stay. She was given to Sanaa, a lioness who had recently lost her own cubs, to raise. Imvula loved her adoptive mother very much, but she couldn't compare her to her real mother. There were enough similarities to make it bearable though.
Imvula's new life in the Pridelands wasn't easy, she was shunned by most of the lionesses because of her outward appearance and her mixed blood. Some even considered her an abomination. Kiara, on the other hand, was her very best friend. While Kiara was ditz, Imvula was intelligent and often pulled her friend out of dangerous situations. The only time she every got into deep trouble was when Kiara entered the Outlands. She was severely scolded by her father and adoptive mother. Simba was disappointed in both cubs for disobeying him, but he forgave them in time.
Years passed and Imvula and Kiara took their first hunt together. Imvula's hunting lessons were given to her by her father and Sanaa, she head learned the best of both worlds and utilised both lion and leopard hunting methods to create her own. It was Imvula who was the first to return with a young gazelle, while Kiara was still out hunting. After the fire struck and Kovu was granted permission to stay with Simba's pride while he formed an opinion on him, Kiara's and Imvula's friendship dwindled a little bit. Not wanting to feel like a gooseberry, Imvula spent a lot of time by herself or with her father. She'd often stay away from the pride for long periods, not that it bothered them much, Imvula was half leopard after all. One of her walks lead her into the path of a wandering rogue. She'd caught his eye as much as he caught hers. His fur was as white as the clouds above and his mane had a beautiful golden hue to it, and his eyes, oh his eyes, they made Imvula's leg buckle. She invited him to join her on her walk and after much time talking, the pair found that they had a mutual attraction and she had learned that his name was Sihle. He had come from a far away land to start a pride of his own. Imvula spent most of her days with this handsome rogue and it wasn't long before Sihle asked her to become his mate. Imvula readily accepted.
After the battle between the Outlanders and the Pridelanders, Imvula returned to Pride Rock with Sihle at her side. He was readily accepted into the Pride, being the son of a King and all. Imvula and Sihle went on to have two daughters together, one marrying the son of Kovu and Kiara."
Other times, I pair Imvula up with Nuka. They make an interesting couple, both outcasts and a little bit misunderstood. Imvula rescues him from the fallen logs and she, along with her father, helps him to heal. She brings him rodents and other delicious meats. In time, he builds his strength and becomes a much healthier lion. His mane grows fully and he puts on plenty of weight and muscle mass. But that story is for another time..
