I think that the cub that Sarafina is holding at the end of the comic, "Simba and the Snake" was Mheetu. I think she was babysitting him for her mate, Jamaa, who rules a neighboring pride. Mheetu will be Jamaa's heir to the throne of his pride. I think the reason why we don't see Mheetu in the movie is because he lives with his father.
