She tried to ally with the lions in the Pridelands and of course gets yelled at and almost beaten for it by Scar's followers...
She starts out as a cub when Simba and Nala are cubs, frequently trying to make friends with them.
Once Simba and Nala are full-grown, she is too, along with her love interest Makena. Once Scar takes over the Pridelands, she feels that the hyena take-over isn't right, so she and Makena try and get as much food to the lionesses as possible, including Nala.
She's one of the first to leap on Scar when he's defeated as well, and eventually earns the trust of the Pridelanders, as well as a permanent place for her and Makena in their pride.
