Sanaa is a random lioness in Simba's Pride. She had four cubs before she adopted Imvula, but they were still born. No one knows why, perhaps it was a hunting accident, or the stress of birth was too much? Anyway, when the infant Imvula arrived at Pride Rock with Weusi, Sanaa believed it to be a blessing more than a burden as her pridesisters thought. Sanaa was a big comfort to Imvula as she grew up. Sanaa would remind Imvula that her mother would be proud of her, no matter what she did or what path she chose to walk. She even quizzed Sihle on his intentions for her adoptive daughter. Sanaa taught Imvula to hunt and how a pride works. Sanaa also had a great friendship with Weusi, for both had lost someone that they cared about and shared someone that was very special in both their hearts.
