Posted: September 11th, 2011, 7:25 pmIt's been awhile since I posted anything here hasn't it? Anyways here's a cute little character I adopted from someone on deviantART. I drew her in Sai, and spent about 15 hours give or take on vectoring her in a free program called Inkscape.
About Inkscape: It's a free, open source vector program that's difficult to get the hang of at first, so before you can create awesome images like this or MLPs(My Little Ponies, many fans use Inkscape to draw their ponies on deviantART), you gotta play around with it first, make some mistakes and get the hang of it's work flow. I know it took me some time to get use to it. It doesn't even have Pen Pressure for tablets yet as it's still in alpha mode, which is why you should have a program like MSPaint or Paint.net available to sketch your image idea out first before transferring it into Inkscape to vector.
