I believe that Ahadi was betrothed to Princess Uru from cub age.
Ahadi was just king who loved both of his sons equally..but he found himself spending the most time with Mufasa who hung on his every word. It wasn't that he didn't love Taka but he found himself disciplining his younger son more and as time went on he grew out of touch with him blinded to what his son was becoming.
