Josiah came to africa from canada with his father to research the african wildlife. While enjoying a tour of the savannah, Josiah met Rafiki while taking a bathroom break.
The odd baboon wanted to use a human to help Simba and his pride get along with the ex-outsiders, who were trying to fit into the pride.
To do this, the baboon used a potion and, with the help of Mufasa, transformed the 23 year old boy into a lion.
