Shizukana (Kana for short) is a very cheerful lion. She loves to see everyone smile, yet she herself is not happy. Her parents bug her about finding a mate to be with, but she really isn't ready for that. She meets a lion cub named Kakusu, he was sitting hunched over angrily. She tried everything to cheer him up but failed, until she tripped over a root and fell. Kakusu laughed and said "are you alright" and that was the beginning in what she thought was a good friendship...
Shizukana's element symbol, which is on all four of her pads, is the japanese symbol for ice - ???
Kana's parents' names are Rafu & Hana. Rafu, Kana's father, is very rough with Hana and Kana. Hana mostly protects Kana by fighting off Rafu though since her name means flower in japanese she is as delicate as one. Rafu as you guessed his name means rough in japanese as well. Hana wants Kana to find a mate so she doesn't have to live with the pain and suffering Rafu puts her through.
