Fading Light is Zira's Lost Daughter. She loved to wander off to play and explore. One time this cost her because she was away during the time Simba exiled the Outlanders. When she returned from her playing and exploring, Fading Light could find no trace of Zira nor her younger siblings, Nuka and baby Kovu and Vitani. Having no idea of what became of them, Fading Light was left on her own to fend herself against the dangers of the savanna at a young age. Somehow she manages to do well for herself though and manages to avoid danger. While she used to be a very happy cub though, losing her family made her rather melancholy.
