My Lion King Forum

This is my first lion king fanfic so if it's not too good please be nice. This isn't the entire part but I'll post the first part of chapter one up as a teaser until the whole things done.

Chapter one

Throughout his life Simba had always been very lucky. He had survived attempts at his life from when he was just a cub to even recently when Zira had tried to use Kovu to kill him.

Scar had tried to kill him as a kid but Simba had escaped. The hyenas had tried but they failed as well. Even Zira,Kovu,Nuka, and Vitani were unable to successfully kill Simba.

No matter what life threw at him Simba had always managed to survive and persevere. His luck was truly incredible.

But nobody's luck lasts forever.

Here's the first chapter:

Chapter one: Suspicion

Scar had tried to kill him as a kid but Simba had escaped. The hyenas had tried but they failed as well. Even Zira,Kovu,Nuka, and Vitani were unable to successfully kill Simba.

It was when Kovu was out on a nightly walk around the edges of Priderock when he found his sister Vitani lying on the ground looking up at the stars. It was already midnight and all the other lions and lionesses had gone to sleep so it struck Kovu as odd when he saw her all alone just staring at the sky.

Kovu thought that something might be wrong with her for she didn't react at all when he walked up to her and then sat beside her. After a minute Kovu felt he should tell the other lion and lionesses what was going on but right as he was getting up Vitani spoke to him.

"I've been expecting you here."

"What do you mean by that?" asked a confused and still worried Kovu.

"I know that you take walks every night around Priderock and I wanted to talk to you in private" said Vitani.

She seemed sincere to Kovu so he cautiously sat back down with her. "What did you want to talk about?"

"Ever since we joined Simba's pride I can't stop thinking about our mothe rand Nuka and what things could have been like had we really succeeded and Simba had died. We could have had all the power and nobody would have been able to stop us" said Vitani as he looked directly at Kovu who was shocked not only about her saying these things but also by the fact that she seemed serious.

"Do you realize that what you're saying could be taken as treason? Simba and the rest of the pride has done so much for us and here you are talking about them being dead and us controlling the pridelands" said an incredibly disappointed Kovu.

"I was just saying that things could have been different. I'm ashamed that you'd think I would want Simba dead" said Vitani who to Kovu looked like she was trying too hard to sound shocked.

"Good; I would never want you to think such things because I don't want to have more traitors in my family."

"Like how you deserted us when we were actually going to rule the Pridelands?!" shouted Vitani who suddenly leapt up off the ground and ran away to where the rest of the lionesses would be.

"Wait!!" shouted Kovu but it was too late for Vitani was already long gone. Just as Kovu was about to go back to Priderock and turn in he saw a large figure approaching him. Kovu hunkered down and prepared to fight until the figure eventually was close enough for him to tell it was just Simba.

"Did you see Vitani go your way?" asked Kovu

"No, I heard some shouting so I went to investigate. Is something wrong?"

"I don't know" said Kovu who didn't want to tell Simba about his recent talk with Vitani.

"Well, it's pretty late so why don't we turn in?" asked Simba who started back towards Priderock.

"Yeah, sure." said Kovu as he followed Simba through the darkness towards Priderock.

Its really good. I've always thought that Vitani switched sides too easily and too quickly. It'll be interesting to hear the rest of the story!

Awww y'are too kind.

This is gonna be more of a murder mystery fanfic(I hope I haven't given away too much when I just said that).

Yeah, it does. I have a feeling Vitani's going to murder Simba... I don't know. You'll have to write the rest.

(stands eagerly in line with everyone else, awating the next chapter)

This was a great start to what will surely be an awesome Fan Fic in my opinion WW17. I really hope you'll find time to continue it because leaving all us hanging like this would be cruel and such a tease. lol. ^^ j/k of course but I look forward to reading more if you happen to post more. ^^

Sounds good. ^^ I can't wait for more! Murder stories in TLK interest me a lot.
