Zira was sliding down the cliff. She grunted as she held on. "Zira! Give me your paw!" Kiara told Zira. Zira swung at Kiara's paw. She then slipped a litte more. The river was rising more. "Zia come on..." Zira's paws couldn't hold on much longer. "I'll help you..." Zira looked into Kiara's eyes. Zira then started slipping. Instead of Kiara trying to put her head back. She tried to grab for Zira. Kiara started to move foward. Then, she fell from the cliff. "Ahhh!!" Kiara and Zira screamed as they fell from the cliff. Simba saw Zira fall. He turned his head back to Nala, who's eyes wided in horror, then, Simba saw Kiara fall too. "Kiara!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!" He saw them both fall in the water. Both their paws were up above the surface then, they were below. They had drowned....

oooo, nice alternative twist there must really suck for Kovu, though.

Simba started to cry as the water rused down the gourge. He climbed up. He was soon at the top. He saw Nala was crying too. "What happened? Where's Kiara?" Kovu asked Simba. Simba lowered his head in sadness. "She..she fell in the water..I'm so sorry Kovu..." Kovu's eyes wided. His eyes filled with tears. It tore through his heart like a knife stabbing a cold, crisp apple.

Ooh cool metaphor. Good story, so far! Looking forward to more.

Kovu nearly fell to the ground. He cried. Nala tried to comfort him. But he wouldn't let her. Simba looked at the outsiders. He knew Kiara's words were true. He walked over to them. "Come home to priderock, atlest I hope you will, it was my daughters last wish..." Simba said as he lowered his head. They all looked at him. Then, Simba heard a voice. "I will." It was Vitani who said it. "Come on guys, he just lost his daughter, it's the least we could do." Simba smiled at Vitani. Then, the outsiders started to walk towards Simba. "Then we will." Then, Simba told Nala and Kovu that the outsiders were coming home with them. So, they went home.

Kiara's dead?! Noooo! Poor Kovu But this is a great fanfic, congrats!
