Fire; [poem]
Posted: September 6th, 2012, 2:51 amHiiii guyyyss! So I wrote this for KKV4's poetry contest buuut not a ton of people got around to checking that out, so I felt like posting it here. I enjoyed writing it a lot, and I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Check it out~
Shouldn't be too hard to figure out who it's about. I tried to a pack in some layers and double meanings, so let me know which ones you spot. ;3
Fire;
You're a demon, you are
a devious master of design
of a jet black desire
dressed in viridian.
You're a blemish, you are
something spiny and unwanted
built on the backs of the brave
and the jaws of the cowardly.
You're a lily, you are
wilting upon a desert rock
desperate for pride in something stolen
or something broken.
You're a murderer, you are
a brother to Abel
who's heard the thousand
footsteps echo like thunder.
You're a demon, you are
You've tasted iron
yet your castles of paper
were built to burn.
You're a demon, you are
