An Unpleasant Reunion
Everyone was shocked to see Zira back in the Pridelands. Zira ignored this and fixed her hate-filled red eyes on Vitani. She came close to the younger lioness, causing Mheetu to snarl and growl.
“Hello dear, do you remember me?” she said in a mocking tone.
“How could I forget you…Aunt Zira,” Vitani retorted in a tone dripping with contempt.
Zira snarled.
“How dare you?!” she said, raising her paw to strike.
It was then that Simba stepped in.
“Aunt Zira…” he said.
“Simba…” she replied.
Zira then looked Simba over, and then looked at him with mock sympathy.
“Such a handsome lion you’ve become. It’s too bad that I have to kill you,” she said.
Simba frowned.
“This isn’t the way you truly feel. I sense it,” he said.
Zira shook her head.
“Believe me, Simba. It is. I intend to carry out Scar and I’s original plan!” she declared.
Simba continued looking at her.
“I know the truth. The truth is that you were once Bianca, the lioness who married Uncle Scar. It’s the part of yourself that you’ve forgotten,” he stated.
Zira growled.
“That name means nothing to me! Bianca is dead, do you hear me?!” she shouted.
Simba looked down sadly.
“We are finished here,” he said as he began to walk away with his family and pride members.
Zira grinned wickedly.
“Oh no, Simba. We have only begun!” she replied.
She and the other Outlanders then left. Zira looked to the skies.
“Scar my beloved, I will soon avenge you,” she said quietly.
Her attentions then turned to Kovu, who had just fallen asleep.
“Sleep tight, my prince. One day, when you’re bigger and stronger, you will be a king,” she said.
She then fell asleep herself, Shetani cuddled in her paws. A faint smile could be seen on her face as she dreamed of a bloody and gruesome death for Simba.
