Well, I basically have nothing to say before. Other than Enjoy! and Leave comments! I need to learn how to write better! :3 This story idea may have been taken, but it's gonna be different also.

------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter One

The Pridelands were grey in colour, there were no signs of life in the trees or grass. The water dried out and the animals moved away. Skeletons of the former animals were scattered all over the vast land. Hyenas ruled over the plains, and the remaining lionesses did all the hunting, though there was no food, and barley any water.

A lone lioness was hunting in the plains, a limp zebra that separated from his herd met paths with the huntress. Her dark cream body leaped towards the hurt creature, it cried in pain as her teeth pierced through the zebras thick skin. The lioness threw the zebra to the ground, plunging her claw through the bite marks and ripping the wounds wider as the creature slowly bled to death.

She unhooked her claws from the body and lifted her body. The huntress smiled at her fresh kill and searched around the grey plains and dropped her head to pick up the carcass. The body was heavy and the day was hot, she also had to take the long way so the scent stays far from the hungry hyenas. She approached the large shaped rock, where all hyenas and lions lived but not peacefully. The lionesses and cubs got barley any food, Scar, his family and the hyenas ate most.

She dragged the dead zebra up the rock, and jogged into the cave with the food still hanging from between her teeth. The lionesses and cubs gasped to the wonderful sight. For heavens sake they finally had food! Lionesses pushed their cubs to the food first as they always did, the small cubs dug through the meal, most finished by the first ten minutes allowing some lionesses to eat.

"Thank you Sarabi!" They all said with bright eyes. The old lioness just smiled, as they all reminded her of Simba. Her dead outgoing son who died alongside his mighty father, Mufasa. Most of the time she cried a single tear, during the nights she journeyed to the top of Priderock to be closer to her passed family.

A cream-coloured young adult lion, named Nala noticed Sarabi's sorrows. She smiled at the old queen and padded to where she was sitting alone. She nuzzled Sarabi, making them both smile. Sarabi nodded and allowed Nala to eat some zebra. Nala smiled excitedly and pranced to the meal. No words were spoken of the late king and prince.

Dark sky covered the savanna and Sarabi smiled up at the sky, sitting in the exact spot that Mufasa showed Simba the land he would once own until he were killed in a terrible wildebeest herd. Taking the life of him and his father. Tears fell on the hard rock with a splash, Sarabi sobbed looking up at the sky. The clouds cleared out a small opening, she smiled thinking this was a sign of Mufasa and Simba.

A loud roar emitted from the royal den below. Sarabi crouched and bolted off the top of Priderock towards the den. Scar was doing his before-bed check and Sarabi lost track of time. The flung herself around corners and dove off ledges. She finaly arrive before Scar even came close. She panted as jogged to the corner of the cave, her annual sleeping-spot.

Suddenly, a brown/red lion with a coal coloured mane entered the den. Most of the other lionesses with cubs were cleaning them, other without were sleeping or were almost asleep. The odd-one-out was Sarabi, laying wide awake in the dark corner. He shot an evil smile, and walked towards her. Sarabi's heart started pounding, with every step the lion toke towards her. He turned, and made his way towards Nala.

"Young Nala, you've grown quite well. I, King Scar would like to see you in my den instead of leaving with the hunting party around mid-day tomorrow." Scar said with evil lurking in his voice. Nala smiled at her king.

"I will be there tomorrow." She answered Scar. She smiled and he nodded. Walking out of the cave soon-after. Nala gasped and went over to lay beside her mother. Nala and her mother were scared of what will happen in the near future.

Chapter two

The sun was just peaking the horizon-line, the rays shot into the den and into Nala's eyes. The heat of the sun was unusual, everything was now that Scar was king. All throughout the days were hot, including nights. The sun was beating onto Nala's eyes, awakening her from slumber. Her bright blue eyes opened slowly, then squinted at the sun.

As Nala grew, her eyes slowly started changing colour, from green to bright blue. Every lioness was jealous, as her eyes were the most beautiful in the Pridelands. None-the-less, this bothered her in every way, shape and form. As she thought she was ugly, her eyes changed colour, her paws were to small, her head was to big. Every day, every lioness had to hear about what she thought of herself. Come-on, even the male hyenas bowed to her beauty!

Nala glared at the stiff body of the half eaten zebra carcass. Her stomach growled at the sight, she smiled patting her belly. She brought her fore legs out in front of her and pushed against the ground lifting her body, then she slowly lifted her right back leg, then her left leg. She cracked her stiff back, and neck. Then, yawned rolling out her long tongue.

The sun was still glaring into her soft eyes, the hyenas were laying around the den, like they didn't want anyone to come out. Surprisingly they made a small opening for Nala, she made her way to the Royal Den. Little did she know, she had a follower.

Nala passed the hyenas, each growling her way. She snarled, and kept walking quietly up Priderock. Her paws hit the ground with a hard thump, her thoughts were mainly about what was going to happen. Banishment? or worse... Death? She was to caught up to notice Scar called her name, until he walked up to her and stopped her.

"Nala? What are you doing alone with all these hyenas? Please, come into the den, I need to have a word with you." He said, this time sounding less imitating and evil. More, kind and sweet. Scar smiled, for the first time in a few months. Nala smiled back, to seem nice.

"Well, yesterday you told me to come up to the royal den. Remember?" She answered him, with a smile. He had a happy glow in his eyes, not like any other day. It's the kind of glow, like he's getting something he wants.

"Oh yes, now I remember. Please, come in." He gently pushed her back, and motioned his paw to present his den. Nala walked into the den, and heard slight mews. There, in the far parts of the cave, was Zira holding a greyish brown cub in her paws. The cub was unusually small and bone-y, but still cute.

"He's cute, what the heirs name?" Nala smiled at Zira, the cub lifted his head and smiled at Nala. Zira looked at Nala as-well but no smile on her face.

"His name is Nuka, and he is in no shape for being the heir." She answered Nala, Seeming very ticked off for some unfamiliar reason. Nala frowned, and followed Scar into one of the many tunnels of the Royal Den. He sat, on a tall rock and motioned her to come up also.

"As you can see Nala, my new son is weak. I will never produce a suitable heir. This is where you come in." He paused for a moment. "I need you to mate with a lion of my choice, please?" He asked Nala, with a smile. She was flabbergasted at his question. speechless, unable to answer his question.

"B-but, what if I don't like him, or-or produce a good heir?" Nala stuttered, unable to answer the question without a real answer. Scar laughed then straitened out. Nala look puzzled, at his laughing.

"Oh Nala, Ive watched you grow. You're a great huntress, the best! Strong body, beautiful looks, and an amazing personality. If I could produce good heirs, I would mate with you myself." He protested, no emotion showed on his face. Nala gasped, unable to answer.

"I am king, you do as I say. Or I'll kill you!" He laughed, then again straighten out. Nala sighed, death or mate? Death is worse. So many things went though her mind, as Scar called a familiar name out.

A big golden with a black mane, and small tufts on his ears came out of another den. His red eyes stared into her blue eyes. They both gasped, as they were childhood friends. Malka stopped in his steps, and Nala stood from her standing position.

"Malka!" She yelled, her eyes widened. "Nala!" He said in response, his eyes also widening. Scar had an evil smile spread across his face. His plan was working out.

"I'll leave you to alone. Proceed with my wishes or die a slow and painful death." He laughed, making his way out of the small side den. Malka sighed, as did Nala.

"Die, or mate?" He asked Nala, both clearly in regret of this painful time. He ducked his head as Nala jumped off the large rock. Paw's hitting the ground with a thud.

"I don't want to die." Nala answered, words trailing off into no-where-ville. She walked closer to Malka, waiting for his answer. He sighed and lifted his head to look at Nala.

"Okay." Malka answered sadly. "Let complete his wishes."

It's different from the rest, I know. Yet, I'll think you'll like it!

Chapter Three

Nala looked horrible, tears shedding from her blue eyes, her gentle fur was un-groomed and scruffy. Malka felt as horrible as he looked, seducing his best-friends-betrothed-mate was the last thing he ever wanted to do. He shook out his long mane and black beard. The two looked each other square in the eyes, then went there separate ways. Malka felt disgusting as he walked towards his den. The hyenas guarding the doors moved to the sides and let him pass, they giggled at the sight of the very un-groomed lion.

His sleeping den was grey and dingy with the slight smell of urine. Animal skeletons lay in the corner near the back wall. A tiny tree was growing, limp and almost lifeless. The only sun it got was from a hole near the top of the den. Three ledges formed on the sides on the den. Two large lions perched on their ledges.

A brown lion with a darker brown mane and green eyes sat peacefully, daydreaming in his own small world. The other lion had dusky yellow-orange fur with a light brown mane, his blue eyes watched three aqua-coloured birds emerge from the 'light-hole'. The lighter lion smiled at the bird and started small talk. As the darker lion leaped from his perching spot and landed before Malka.

"Sooo!" The darker lion trailed on. "Did'ja bring us any food?" He asked with an excited smile. The lighter lion looked down, as did his bird friends, licking his lips frequently. Malka sighed and looked down at his paws.

"No Chumvi, not during this outing." He frowned and look up at Chumvi. Chumvi's ears went down, he turned around and pounced back up to where he was previously. Malka's ledge was closets to the ground, as he was the largest and strongest. So attackers would get harmed quicker. The sad lion stepped up to his ledge and laid down remembering the horrifying day he had. The lighter lion just laughed.

"HA, Chumvi! You owe me a pound of meat for guessing wrong!" The lighter one laughed, causing the birds to start flying around. Chumvi groaned and slapped his face, and pulled it down slowly.

"Maybe later Tojo. Just let me sleep!" Chumvi replied, laying his head down on the ledge and closing his eyes. Tojo muttered something Malka couldn't make out. All three lions fell asleep quick. Tojo's bird friends slept on Tojo's back, to stay far from the murderous hyena's.

Poor Nala lay in her mothers arms surrounded by her lioness friends listening to the story of the horrible day she had. Lionesses gasped and sighed, they felt bad for the young lion. The pride and even some kind female hyenas were outraged at what King Scar had her and Malka do. She felt disgusting, her body was not owned by her any more. Scar owned it, or so he thought.

Many of the female cubs came and laid near Nala, the male cubs guarded her. Old Rafiki limped slowly into the lioness den. The lionesses and cubs cleared a path for him to walk, they bowed their heads hoping for an answer. Rafiki arrived at Nala and placed his old hand on her belly.

"Oh great kings! Please show Rafiki a sign of de cubs!" He yelled, echoing around the den. A large gust of wind blew through the den and circled Rafiki and Nala. Rafiki sighed and removed his hand.

"Ooh, Nala. You are blessed with a cub." He sighed and dipped his head. Nala burst out crying and the lionesses circled again. The smallest of cubs climbing on her back to lick her face. An attempt to make her smile again. Rafiki turned on his heel and walked out of the den, shaking his head in denial.

"Mother, I have names." She said, lifting her head. Trying to think the best of this situation.

"What are they?" She answered, licking her daughters face. Her also trying to think the best of this.

"For a boy, Chaka." She paused. "For a girl, Kiara."

Hold up, I have a good idea for this. You are just going to have to WAIT AND SEE o.o
