With the sudden movement she lifted her head, muzzle scrunched in a permanent angry scowl. She kept her eyes locked on the red lioness as she arced about, circling. Kaharabu realized that she wasn't going to leave. Straightening fully, as if showing off her muscle, she snapped her jaws in warning and lifted her tail. While speaking might have been more helpful, Kaharabu didn't much care when posture and subtle body signs could display what she wanted. Placing one forepaw against the carcass she leaned forwards, hissing fiercely at the red female. However, perhaps now was time for voices to add in. "Back off. It's mine." she growled, pinning her ears against her skull.

"It's the law of the wild out here," snapped Chaltuu. "Everything is fair game if you're a rogue. And judging by the looks of it, you, pal, are a rogue." She bristled and growled, still circling around the female like a scavenging vulture revolving around a carcass before landing on it to pick at whatever remained of its flesh. She flexed her claws and halted, turning around to face the lioness, and her unsheathed claws and vicious snarl showed that she was not one to tamper with- but then again, the other lioness looked just as tough and hostile as Chaltuu herself- but the reddish female was unwilling to leave until she had put up a good fight, and was determined to prove it.

She scoffed quietly, flexing her claws against the soft fur on the antelope's side. "Of course I am. But I'm not sharing, so move along," the lioness went on, snapping her teeth at the red female. Her tail lashed from side to side in irritation, and she kept her orange gaze narrowed to slits. Kaharabu would be eager for a battle. She'd had a skirmish a few days ago with a young male, and had sent him scampering to the hills. Her claws itched to jump at the ruddy lioness, but she waited, wanting the other to come to her and start it.

"I don't think I want to necessarily share," Chaltuu retorted coldly, rolling her shoulders back subtly and flexing her claws. She flicked her ears a few times before folding them back and strutting up to the other lioness boldly, aiming a swipe with unsheathed claws at the female's muzzle. She recoiled a few paces, but not as though frightened- merely to avoid a well-directed clout in response to her own assail. She sneered at the female, her expression displaying undisguised contempt and her muzzle compressed in a snarl. She waited for a couple of swift seconds for the female to retaliate, looking at her with disdain. She was positive that she would not back down from a fight, and she anticipated the counterattack.

No, that was right. Sharing was not an option. The grey feline swatted her tail through the air. "Marvelous. You can leave." Kaharabu replied dully, her upper lip curling. As the red female approached with an attack Kaharabu ducked away, spitting. The claws had been inches from her nose. Her spine bristled, and she opened her jaws and roared at the other, bellowing out a final warning. If she wanted a fight, a fight she would get. Still overtop the carcass, Kaharabu closed her blood-stained jaws and grunted, muscles bunching in preparation for battle. One, two, three... Kaharabu lunged at the enemy.

Chaltuu tried to leap out of the way, but the female's claws snagged her fur and she toppled to the ground. Spitting and hissing, she slashed at the lioness's chin and attempted to pummel her stomach with her hind paws. Her jaws parted as she bellowed at the opposing lioness, growling and trying to throw the female off of her. She snapped her teeth repeatedly and viciously at the enemy, though it was more of a show of hostility and ferocity than her attempting to bite the other female's muzzle. She had apparently underestimated the other female, because her grip was stronger than she had previously anticipated. Evidently the lioness was fighting back, and the two grappled for dominance.

[And I'm not trying to powerplay or godmod Chaltuu or anything like that, so I hope it doesn't seem like that. She's not being like "Hurr hurr -throws lioness off easily and levitates carcass with magical powers and runs off with it- hurr hurr".
Also, sorry if it seems like I'm controlling Kaha. I'm not trying to make it seem like that, I just didn't want to make it seem like "Oh yah she's just standing there while Chaltuu's like 'rawr' and stuff".]

The two collided in a storm of fury. Kaharabu snarled as a claw slit her chin, and felt sharpness attacking her underside. She clung on anyway, digging her own claws into the reddish fur of the other female's shoulders. Her maw aimed to bite at the red lioness's face, grabbing towards her ears and eyes. She used her hind legs to kick under and remove the other's hind paws. Screeching, the darker lioness tossed and tugged. She attempted to pull upwards and then slam the red female back against the ground.

Chaltuu screeched and hissed as teeth came into painful contact with her ear and her hind paws were tossed carelessly against the dirt. She snarled as the greyish lioness yanked her upwards before being rammed back against the ground with crushing impact on her back. It dazed her for a couple of moments, but after she shook herself out of her stunned trance, she swiped blindly at her opponent, attempting to slice somewhere on her face or shoulders. She flailed and shrieked, writhing in a thrashing flurry of claws and teeth, trying to toss the other lioness off of her so that she could possibly scramble to her feet and pin her enemy down on the solid earth. Though she would most likely not admit it, her adversary was a tough fighter.

Kaharabu snapped her jaws loudly. Close as she was, when the red one swiped out her goal was met. Dark red lines blossomed over Kaharabu's chest, making her howl. Driven on by the fury of pain she aimed to sink her teeth into the other's leg, despite the rocking and tossing. She'd loose her balance eventually, but she held out for now, clinging onto the female and biting and kicking in return.

Chaltuu yowled as she felt the other female bury her teeth into her foreleg and the pummeling and kicking she received in return for her own assail. Blood welled up over her russet-red pelt, staining her fur- not as though that was one of her priorities, and she blinked rapidly as she tried to get the dark crimson blood from dripping into her eyes. Her muzzle was compressed in a vicious snarl and she emitted aggressive growls from the back of her throat. Anger and the desire to best her opponent fueled her depleting energy and made her lash out quickly, furiously.
