My Lion King Forum

This is a private RP for me and TheWhistlerify.

The sun started to rise over the land and a lion comes out of the den.
Tua: *yawn* It seems like a nice day!
The grown lion wandered down to the waterhole. He dove in and swam around for a few hours until he finally decided to rest on the shore.

A younger lioness named Marini was also making her way towards the waterhole. It was a beautiful day weather-wise, but it was also very hot. When she arrived there she saw a familliar looking lion resting by the shore and, as always, he was completely soaked in water. The cream-furred female rolled her eyes with a slight chuckle, having never been able to understand Tua's habit of swimming. She hated getting wet. "Morning." she said, offering the older male a small smile before bending over and drinking some water.

Tua: Hey! Morning! Hot today, isn't it!
The lion stood up and shook out his mane to get dry. He then turned to get himself a drink of water.

With a playful frown, Marini took a few steps aside as Tua shook his mane dry. "It is." she said. Tua was slightly older than their king, Simba, while she herself had been born shortly before the end of Scar's reign, so there was quite an age difference between her and him.

Tua: Hey...I'm going out for a hunt. Care to join me?

While this particular time of day wasn't the most pleasant to hunt at because of the heat, Marini couldn't deny the fact that she was rather hungry. "Sure, why not?" Hunting with somebody rather than on your own has always been much easier.

Tua: Great! I know where the herds have been moving through lately. Come on!
He lead them a ways through some of the rocky parts of the Pridelands and in the distance were a few herds traveling in different directions at one point next to a river. There were elephants, gazelle, zebra, a little bit of everything.
Tua: So, what should we go for?

Marini followed Tua as he led the way, and was rather surprised at the variety of choices they had to choose from. Normally one would hunt the first thing he stumbled upon, especially if food was scarce. "I sure would like a fresh gazelle." she said eith a smile, feeling herself getting excited by the very thought of hunting. She was a lioness, so it was only to be expected.

Tua: Okay.....hmmmmm......okay! See those two on the right? The big and plump ones? You got the one on the right, and I got the one on the left! Sound good?

Marini licked her lips in anticipation, already able to imagine what the fresh, juicy meat would taste like. "Sounds good." One gazelle would be more than enough for both of them, but they could always take the second one as well as the remains of the first one to the den for the rest of the pride to feed on.
