Revenge - Shadowfax and Tsuki [Private]

[Shadowfax]

(I've not designed him/her yet but thinking Panther x3)

Nova strained to hear for any reply of Zuberi, but she was sure nothing came to her so she continued onwards into the jungle.

"He can't have gone far.." Nova said as she wandered into the unknown.

"Mother, please rest.. You're hurt and need to rest" Vex pleaded, jumping infront her to block her path, but Nova just pushed past he and carried on into the jungle.

"We have to find Zuberi.. He's vulnerable out here and he's probably scared" Nova insisted as she roared again, hoping to attract his attention.

[Tsuki]

(Ahh fair play! Cool beans. )

Zuberi looked around him, his eyes wide in fear and he started chirping slightly in fustration. He felt so uncomfortable in this environment, but at least now he was slightly higher up and could see more. But how on earth was he suppose to hunt? And trees weren't suppose to grow this closely together. It wasn't natural. Where would they find water? Why did Nova suggest the jungle in the first place.

He heard a roar not that far off and he crouched down in fear, not realising it was Nova. What other big animals were in here? Were there any other big cats? He knew he would probably die or get killed in here. He chirped again in fear.

Vex heard the distant chirp of Zuberi and her head span round in that direction. She wasn't aware it was him, but she knew it was a cat making that noise. Perhaps he was trying to call back to Nova.

"Damn it.. Where the hell is he?" Nova complained.

"I heard a noise from over there... Maybe that's him" Vex said heading off in that direction.

Nova cursed. Not being able to hear properly was starting to annoy her. The ringing in her ears remained and the blood had began to make her feel uncomfortable as it dried.

[Tsuki]

Zuberi lowered himself on the branch of the tree. As he did so a flock of birds erupted from the tree above his head and he almost fell out the tree in fright. He made a loud mewing noise as this took him by fright and looked around him. What else was lurking in the shadows? What was dangerous here? What was safe to eat? He continued chirping. He was lost, alone and very afraid.

(Fail toast!)

"Zuberi!" Vex called.

Then a flock of birds flew out in her direction and Vex dropped to the floor to avoid any flying into her. Nova however wasn't so lucky and two or three flew right into her. Annoyed, she snapped at the air, catching one of the poor startled birds in her jaws. When it was dead she threw it aside for some scavenger to eat later for she was still full from the antelope Zuberi had caught earlier.

"Found him!" Vex called back to her mother as she spotted Zuberi at the foot of the tree.

She couldn't help but grin when she saw him there though.

"Did you fall out that tree?"

[Tsuki]

Zuberi jumped as Vex appeared from the undergrowth and automatically hissed. But when he realised who it was, he relaxed slightly. But when he was asked if he fell out the tree he frowned.

"No I didn't. I jumped down to get out the way of those birds" he said

He looked around him before noticing Nova and the bullet wound in her ear. He looked away ashamed. It was his fault that she had been shot. If he hadn't have gone back for her none of this would have happened. But what shocked him the most was that he had risked his life to save a Lioness. Something he never dreamed of doing before. Was he having a change of heart?

"Oh thank the gods" Nova muttered as Vex found Zuberi up ahead.

They all stood together in the clearing, relieved to have found one another again and to have left those hunters behind them. Vex looked over her shoulder as if checking that they weren't going to appear again and when they didn't she sighed with relief and smirked at Zuberi's answer to her teasing question.

"Mother, you should rest now.. We've found Zuberi so you have no excuse" She said forcefully looking at Nova's ear.

[Tsuki]

Zuberi glanced over at Nova as Vex told her she had to rest. Would she rest here? In the middle of this jungle? This place may be full of dangers. There may even be hunters here. Who knows? It didn't feel natural. Zuberi hissed in annoyance and looked over at Vex.

"Must we rest here? This place is just so...."

A bird squawked overhead and he crouched down, his eyes wide in fear.

"It's unnatural" he said in almost a whisper.

"Well, this is the jungle" Nova said irritably, finally giving into Vex's pleas and settling down at the foot of the tree that Zuberi had fallen out of.

In a matter of seconds, Vex had trotted over to her mother and began to clean her ear wound for her, Nova wincing every now and then as it was still very tender and sore around the ear wound.

"Zuberi, we will be safer in here than we are out in the Savanah" Vex assured the cheetah sensing his nerves. "There are less dangers in here"

[Tsuki]

Zuberi watched as Vex began cleaning Nova's ear and he winced slightly. It had been his fault she was like that. It was his fault she had been shot. He wanted to apologise but something held him back. Was it that he still had a certain distrust of Lions? Or was he more afraid of what Nova would say to him? He then frowned. Could he trust these two. Did they bring him here to this place so they could attack him? They knew he couldn't win against the both of them, esepcially when he was out of his element. He chirped in fear and looked around him, half expecting another lion to jump out at him. Didn't they say Lions were King of the Jungle? Or was it that they slept in the Jungle? Either way, he was sure they weren't alone here. He looked over at a tree and climbed up it again to keep watch.
