Meanwhile in the Lightlands, a dark, cruel, black lioness circled the brown she cub with a sickening copper stare and wicked smile. A blood red lion with violet eyes watched, and a lighter brown he cub cried at the larger male's paws.
The black lioness chuckled and slid out claws that glittered silver in the cold moon.
“I knew it! Stay away from Kua, or you will be banished forever.” She sneered.
“I am sorry queen Kelsey! I beg your mercy!” Cried the darker cub.
“Mother, stop! Do something Dad!” Kua, the lighter cub, begged the red lion.
Though his purple eyes gleamed with hate and his creamy muzzle stayed silent.

He took a step forward. "Get lost.." Kelsey grinned, smiling at the red lion.

Knuckles purred. “Mlaika should be the one getting lost for dealing with our son.”
Kua darted towards his older siblings: Max, Rex, and Ivy.
Max laughed at Kua. Rex pounced on him. Ivy walked away.

I nuzzled Knuckles. "You know only Ivy, Rex and Max are our cubs...Rex is adopted."
Knuckles purred. "I know, sweetheart...but he can't know that."

Ivy gasped. "Oh! Strike, you're here. Didn't expect to see you..."

Kua watched. Max had told him to.

"oh uh hi!" He said pretending to be confident. "Ur..um.." "What is it?" Ivy asked, glaring into his yellow eyes. "ha ur, I came, came to see you"

Ivy nodded. "Well yeah uh... Nice to see you, Strike...and it's Ivy."
