There was a buzzing. Was she dead? Everything had gone quiet aside that ringing in her ear. What was it? Was she departing the world? She felt the vibration of footsteps approaching. Who? Muffled voices began to speak, but Nova couldn't work out who they were or what they wanted. ii]Im not dead...[/i]She decided as she raised her head. Some of her hearing came back then, but she saw blood on the floor where her ear had been. Then it hit her what had happened. She shook her head and winced as a stab of pain shot through her head. The pain was insane and she stumbled through the undergrowth. Another bullet bounced off the ground next to her and she knew then if she didn't bolt, then she would die the next time one of those stones hit her.

Gathering up the last of her strength, the lioness bolted past the humans, knocking them both to the floor with her speed. She spotted Mio ahead.. Bleeding... And limping. She halted next to him, her ear covered with blood.

"Mio quick, now is our chance to escape"

Alright let's go! You go first I will cover you! Go away to where the mountains are that's the best way to go. As he saw her starting to run out of sight he followed behind slower so she could get away and he turned around and covered himself and waited for them. He was going to get at least one so they did not have to worry about them both going after each one of them and his cubs.

Nova nodded in agreement with Mio's plan and nuzzled him gently before bounding off towards the mountains. She leapt up out of the tall grass so they caught sight of her. She was hoping that one at least would follow her. Nova knew they had spotted her when they shot a bullet at the ground near her paw. The pain in her ear reminded her to be careful and she picked up speed as more and more bullets were aimed at her. None hit her this time and soon they ceased.

Vex meanwhile winced with every single gunshot and wondered eachtime if the ringing noise had ended one of her parents lives. She was puzzled as to what to do. Lyra and Tago had fled, Rayn was cowering somewhere and she couldn't do anything to help any of them.

Mio soon lept on one of the men with the stick with all the energy he had left and fought him trying to stop what he was doing. He started clawing one of them and knocked the stick out of his hand and he kicked it away into a near by lake. He knew there was another one and son turned towards him. His face soon changed when he looked at the other human.

Lyra was shaking with fear, huddled up in the cave, she was too scared to move. She could still hear evidence of the humans, as she kept on hearing gunshots. She closed her eyes, and began to sob slightly.

Tago looked around, not knowing what to do or where to go. He didn't know who to help. Mio and Nova, or Lyra. He was at a loss, but he had to move, or he would be a sitting target. He walked a few more steps, and was trying to think what to do.

Lyra sobbed and sniffed. She put her paw over her face as she cried. 'Why did we ever decide to go for adventure?' she said through gritted teeth. She got up letting a small snarl out as she went, and walked her way a little way down the cave. She wanted to be furthur away from the humans so she felt more comfortable.

The dangers of the jungle were still very worrying. Tago was still just standing still in the bushes, he didn't know which way to go. He thought again for a moment. He felt a little reassured that Nova and Mio went together, so did in a way think that they would be ok. He still felt bad, but knew that Lyra must be terrified. He wanted to find her and see that she was safe. His mind was made up, silently he crept along again, and got far enough away from the humans. He then ran along, keeping his eyes and ears open for any signs of his sister.

Ace was worried for his parents and Rayn. Where was she. He said keep goin far away from the jungle I am going to go look for Rayn. She doesn't need to be alone again. This is another time like when she was a cub so he tried to find her scent and started to follow a trail.

As Miolooked up at the human. Thoughts raced through his head about the life he lived. He was grateful for his childern. He was glad Nova was his mate and would gladly fight and die now for her safety. He went through every memory he had lived. He was grateful for it all an wouldn't change it for anything.

Tago now ran at full pelt through the jungle, determination filling his mind. He ducked under low hanging trees as he went. His breathing was becoming quite rapid, but he kept on regardless. He wasn't going to let anything stop him from finding his sister. He could not hear the humans very well now, and knew he could run as fast as he could without being heard. He then yelled at the top of his voice 'LYRA, WHERE ARE YOU?' He strained to listen in case of a reply.

In the cave, Lyra was hunched up and miserable looking. She was quite deep inside the cave, and it was very dark where she was. The darkness seemed to match her sad mood. She looked back and saw a little light from the mouth, but it didn't comfort her. Nowhere in the jungle seemed neither safe, nor happy for the lioness. Her ears pricked up suddenly when she heard a voice on the air. She recognized it as her brothers. A slight smile came to her face, and she began to make her way to the mouth of the cave. A few more seconds and she heard the voice again. She was now at the cave mouth and carefully made her way out to the opening. She looked around herself carefully. All seemed quite, except the trees which swayed slightly in the little breeze. She could not smell nor hear the humans. So she felt brave enough, and yelled herself 'TAGO, I'M HERE'.

Tago heard his sister's voice and headed towards it. She didn't sound too far away, he put on another burst of speed to try and get to her.
