"I'm glad something can be worked out. Whatever you need done I will gladly do for as long as I have your hospitality," Stoker said as he jogged to catch up with the King. The other lion hardly acknowledged him before indicating the lioness who had seen him earlier. So that was Nala. She was young, perhaps only a little bit older than Stoker himself, and she was standing with the lioness who had approached him earlier and another one. He studied her briefly, noting that she was a pretty lioness, and thought to himself, 'Hmm, staying here for a little while might not be so bad after all.'

Without any further dawdling, he approached the lionesses. He noticed them looking at him, noticed the other lioness pull Nala closer to herself. If he didn't know any better, he'd think she was scared. He scoffed at the idea. Why should they be scared of him, with his pathetic little mane and his childish face? That would be silly- even if he had admitted to being a mercenary. Although, the lioness he'd told that to, the former queen, Sarabi, looked very calm. It was certainly odd.

Sarabi looked at her friend and spoke sternly. "If Scar finds out, we will stand up to him, so that maybe we can take him down with us. Now would you stop your cowering? Stoker comes."

The male stopped before them, and first looked at Sarabi, the one he'd already been introduced to.

"Madam, it seems your king and I may be able to work something out. I shall be staying in these lands for a time, how long, I know not as yet. While I am here, you can speak to me about whatever it was you had on your mind earlier, before I get on to business. So what did you wish to discuss?"

Sarabi wanted to plead the rogue for help, but if he and Scar had made an arrangement already, she was too late. She wouldn't risk her friends so carelessly. So she tried to smile- though she felt she was doing poorly at it- and answered simply, "It's nothing. I'm sure you must be tired, and busy, I won't trouble you with an old lioness's problems."

"Oh? Well alright then," he turned his gaze to Nala, "Are you Nala? The king said you should escort me to the den I'll be staying in."

Sarafina knew that Sarabi was right about Scar. They will simply have to keep on figuring out what to do with Scar for now, and only fight him if it will be clear that he found out about their plans. With Stoker approaching them, Sarafina reluctantly allowed Nala to wiggle free from her grip and move aside slightly.

Watching the young male carefully, Sarafina forced herself not to lunge at him when he informed them that he was staying as per part of some agreement with Scar. It took even more self control, something she was rapidly losing these days in the drought, when Stoker informed Nala that she is to show him to the den. Only when she was sure that she won't grown that Sarafina allowed herself to talk. "Go on, Nala. Show our new guest to his den." She nudged her daughter lightly before sending Sarabi a look that clearly informed the former queen that as soon as Nala will leave with the lion, the two of them were going to have a talk.

Personally, Sarafina did not trust Stoker. Not when he had already succeeded in making a deal with Scar. But it did not even require Sarabi for Sarafina to know that as long as Stoker or anyone else were around, she had to at least tolerate him as to not arouse any suspicion. This was the only reason why she was even allowing Nala to go and do what Scar had told her to, king or not.
