Fumo awoke as the morning sun poured into the den, lighting it up in even the darkest corners, he stood up and shook the dust off of his light brown mane, he looked around to see that the other members of his rather small pride were still fast asleep, he stretched himself and headed out to get a drink, as he reached a small stream he tilted his head in and began to lap up the thirst quenching liquid, it felt so cool and refreshing as it ran down his throat, he then looked around to see if there was any other creatures around for breakfast, he couldn't see anything so set off to make sure everything remained as it should on his lands.

Hasani wasn't sleeping, he couldn't, he had lay in the same spot all night trying to sleep but it was impossible, there was something wrong, he could sence it, as he heard Fumo leave the den he got to his paws and cleaned off his stunning cream pelt before also leaving the den, he wandered around until he found a shaded spot under a tree and lay himself down, "maybe i will get some sleep here" he thought to himself as he closed his eyes.

A lioness with golden fur named Lina was running as fast as her legs could carry her in her fatigued condition. She had been on the move for perhaps two days now, having never stopped to rest with the exception of drinking water whenever she found some, since water often proved to be rare when outside of prides' territories which were set next to water locations. She was hungry and tired, and she had no idea where she was. One thing was for sure, she couldn't go back. A moment or two passed before she told herself that she was probably safe because she had been running for what seemed like eternity, so she went to the closest source of shade she could find, a large rock, and settled down where she was hidden from the sun and closed her eyes. So tired she was that she didn't consider checking whether there was anything around her that might cause her danger.

As Fumo searched his lands for anything out of the ordinary something caught his eye, in the distance he could see what looked like a young lioness heading for a large rock, he ran towards the rock to investigate, as he got closer he slowed himself down, he crouched himself low to the ground and watched as the golden lioness lay down, as she did so he, gripped the earth beneath his paws and ran towards her, his paws barely touching the ground and making no sound, when he got close enough he pounced on top of her pinning her to the ground, he extended his claws digging them deep into her pelt and bared his teeth " what makes you think you have the right to trespass on my land" he snarled

Lina, due to her lack of energy, failed to take notice of the male charging in her direction until it was too late and she was pinned down beneath him. Out of instinct, and probably also because of the fact that the male was slightly larger, had her pinned and was snarling at her, she panicked, and would have struggled hadn't his claws been dug in her pelt. Despite having had worse experiences with claws, it still hurt. Knowing that there was no escape and that she was at this lion's mercy she looked away, feeling certain that he would either kill her or do what she dreaded even more. It was clear from her body language that she was tired and terrified, but since when did another care about how she felt? Honestly she didn't even know that she was trespassing, but it's not like the lion would listen to her. Plus she was too scared to even try to answer, which kind of fit in with the situation.

Fumo saw the fear in the lionesses face and noticed that she was weak, he loosened his grip slightly and drew back his claws but still remained holding her down, he dropped his snarl but still held a firm tone "what are you doing here??, has someone sent you??" he questioned the lioness, he wasn't sure if he should step aside and let her up or not, he didn't yet know if he could trust her enough, so he remained on top of her holding her down waiting for her reply

Lina was of course somewhat relieved when Fumo withdrew his claws, but not enough in order to actually open her mouth and answer to him. If there was one thing she learned before running away was that she just couldn't trust other lions and sometimes even lionesses, so in her point of view he was still about to kill her. She slowly shook her head as a response to his second question, still not looking up at the lion who was holding her down.

Fumo was starting to feel bad about the fear that was obvious in the lionesses expression, he softened his stare and forced a small half smile, he then looked the lioness straight in the eye " if i let you up, you have to promise me you wont run, i only want to speak with you, i would hope you would understand my frustration with finding an unknown lioness on my land" he said trying to explain why he had pounced on her, he didn't want to hurt her but he didn't take kindly to trespassers on his land.

Lina let out a quiet and scared squeak when the lion looked her in the eye. It reminded her of what happened, even if it was a different lions that had a completely different appearance. She hesitated but eventually managed to nod her head slowly, followed by an even quieter "Yes." The lioness was originally rather shy and timid, and after what she's been through she was even less open towards lions she didn't know, which was pretty much everybody because she didn't have a home or a family to return to.

Fumo stood aside as the lioness agreed not to run, he sat himself down beside her and looked to her as he waited for her to get up, " you look like you need a drink, walk with me and we will get you a drink and something to eat and maybe then you can tell me why you are here" he suggested as he motioned a paw in the direction of the stream he had just come from.

Lina had to admit that she was so tired that it was tempting to just continue to lie there on the grass and fall asleep. But she was as hungry and thirsty as she was tired, and the offer to have some food or water was irresistible. She didn't trust the lion next to her at all, but it's not like she was in any condition to run or defend herself, so whether he was going to kill her or not listening to him would be the better option. The lioness got to her feet slowly, still feeling tired, and began to slowly walk in the direction he gestured at, keeping him in the corner of her eye just in case he would suddenly change his mind about her.
