the story of Scar (AU)

It was a Joyful day in the Pride lands, Queen Uru had given birth to Twin sons, however everyone was shocked as one cub apeared smaller that the other. This one was named Taka, for wanting to live as he was first stillborn until his mother resusitated him.

Ahadi looked at Taka with disgust. "He is weak, too weak to ever be king." Ahadi said, looking at the other cub with pride. "Now you, my Young Mufasa shall be king." Ahadi declared.

Rafiki who delivered the cubs had been shocked. Never had two cubs been born, then one be named the next king this quickly. The young adult Mandril looked at Ahadi. "I shall Present Mufasa, then.." But was interupted. "No, Only Mufasa, this weak..thing is not fit to be part of the royal family." Ahadi said spitefully. "But he is your son." Rafiki said. "No, Mufasa is my Son, that thing is a scar upon the pride's strength." The king snarled.

Newborn Mufasa rested calmly between his mother's paws, unaware of what was going on with his sickly brother.

Uru growled at Ahadi, "He is YOUR son and you will love them BOTH equally!" Growling once more than looking to Rafiki. "Present Mufasa then Taka, make the animals aware that there are two princes in our kingdom." Smiling as her two sons cooed in her paws. She bent down and grabbed Mufasa, "The animals are out waiting, give them what they came for!" Giving Mufasa to Rafiki.

"Ahadi, look at Taka. He's a sweet newborn, and you haven't even given him an hour of chance!" Looking into his eyes sternly, then looking down at her stirring son. "It's okay Taka, dear. Your mother and father BOTH love you" Licking him until he fell back asleep. "Give him a chance"

" A Chance, Uru, look at IT! IT was stillborn, it is too small! The Life of even a healthy cub is dangerously short!" Ahadi roared, causing both cubs to whimper as they were awoken. Rafiki sighed. "Your highness what would your father do?" He asked as Ahadi growled. "Fine, It can stay." Ahadi said. " Thank you , I am sure both your sons will.." Rafiki started before Ahadi snarled. "I said IT could stay, That does not make it my son." He growled. " That weakling will never be my son, it is not worth it." He declared, walking off. "There there young Prince's, You are safe." Rafiki said, using his staff as a rattle to calm them before Presenting Mufasa.

"Behold Prince Mufasa, first born son of King Ahadi and Queen Uru." Rafiki declared as the animals bowed. " And behold his younger brother, Prince Taka, second born son of King Ahadi and Queen Uru." Rafiki said as Taka urinated on on his head. The Animals were still bowing, and rafiki returned Taka to Uru.

Time skip!

Time quickly passed and the two princes grew fast. Uru had much trouble keeping up with both them, and the kingdom. So she seldom did her duties as Queen. This particular day was a fine day. "Mufasa! Taka! Get out of Rafiki's materials!" She called up the tree as both her boys came down multi-coloured. Laughing, she started walking towards the watering hole.

"Now you two, wash up. Mufasa, your father wishes to speak with you. Taka, you can stay with me for the day!" Smiling at both her sons. "But first, you wash up!"

Mufasa growled. "What does he want now?" he asked, trying to get some of the colors out of his fur.

Uru shook her head, "I'm not sure sweetheart, but after you are finished, go see him" Keeping a close eye on the water and her sons.

"more kingly lessons I bet." Taka said. The young cub had learned quickly that Ahadi favored Mufasa, and hated Taka. Even to the point of frbiding anyone from acknowladging him as his son, He refered to taka either as Scar or It. The young cub hated it, even worse was when Ahadi scarred him for calling him father. Taka learned fast after that that he was to treat Ahadi as his king, not his father.

What Ahadi did not know however was that Rafiki had been giving Taka the very same lessons in secret, only Uru, Mufasa, Sarabi, Zira and Sarafina knew.

Sarafina spotted her friends a little way off and as she had given her mother the slip she loped over to them. She skidded to a halt infront of Uru and looked at Mufasa and Taka quizzically.

"Why are you covered in different colours?" She asked, blinking slowly.

Mufasa smiled sheepishly. "We were messing around in Rafiki's things," he said.
