Title: A New Pride

Story: Vitani has become the mate of a former rogue named Hakara. However, as the pride is now getting to its size limit, the two decide to break off and form a pride of their own. Along the way, they meet lions who become their pride (these are various OC's). However, they must deal with an arrogant pride leader named Damu (whose personality is like Steele from Balto). who will stop at nothing to destroy them for wanting to claim his territory.

Hakara and Vitani had set out to find their own territory. The group at Pride Rock had gotten too large and so Hakara and Vitani had offered to go. Hakara looked at his mate. "So, 'Tani, are you confident in your decision to leave?" he asked.

"Yes. Even though I'll be leaving my newest home, it'll help me not think of my childhood and teen years." Vitani replied.

Hakara smiled slightly. "Well, I promise that I'll try to get us into a good territory, one with plenty of food, water and space for any cubs we might have in the future," he said.

Vitani leaned up against him and purred. "I know you will. You've always protected me since we met."

Hakara smiled as they crossed the border out of the Pridelands. "How could I forget that day? I crashed into you while you were trying to hunt," he said.

"Yeah. You made me miss the animal, but you also made me feel a feeling I've never felt before." Vitani agreed.

Hakara rubbed his head against hers and then looked ahead into the distance. "Well, Vitani, we are completely out of the Pridelands. Stick close to me. We don't know what dangers are out here," he said. He then had a thought. "We'll have to find members for our new pride," he added.

Vitani just nodded. "Do you want to go separate ways and find some people? I'll be careful, and we'd find more people that way."

Hakara looked at her. "Well, if you're sure you can handle it, go ahead. May the great kings and queens keep you safe," he said.
